I dont understand the line of thought; he wants to not get killed, which happens by his actions. So, his plan is to be "Luke the villain," and to the "help from the shadows?"
Just dont be the villain, dipshit; nobody is required or forced into being evil! Assuming this is basically just some weird form of religion, believing in something with no evidence or reason!
It's like your train of logic is run by Amtrack; outdated, possibly dangerous, and severely underfunded.
Just be a decent person, and help when it's necessary; hero wins, you get a cute chubby for a spouse, and you inherit all the family wealth and prestige by being a good guy.
Or, stick with this bass-ackwards, Rube Goldberg, overly-complicated, crayon-drawn plan that a 12-year-old could pick apart in under 3 minutes.
Because why do the smart-but-difficult thing, when you can do the dumb-but-impossible thing... 🙄
