"Is it okay for a sister to drink alcohol?"
lol, never heard about monastery breweries?
The one time someone serving a ministry is literate in scripture and understands what God calls them to do ... and yet does the complete opposite. Twice.

Dear Every goddamn Japanese Mangaka,

Catholic nuns are not Buddist Nuns with a different uniform. Same with Catholic priests. Orthodox convents do have different levels but they also don't dress like Catholic nuns.

Thank you.

PS: Also please stop having western knights do the 90 degree samurai bow; they kneel.

FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS MY CONFUSION. I always tought that in Japan they had some sort of protestant Christian branch without the vows but HELL NO they just don't want to do research. Like damn, even h artists know something so basic like that

I don't think it's about not wanting to do research-- I don't think they care, and I don't think they care on account of their purposes. Like, look at this case-- her head-covering barely covers her hair, her habit clings to her body like saran wrap, there are no other nuns around, there's no visiting cleric for liturgical purposes, there's no liturgy, and now she got drunk and had sex. Does this collage of details and events sound like it was produced by someone who cares about accurately depicting ostensibly Christian ascetics?

This must be a particularly stun-locking example of that "database consumption" theory-- this woman's being a nun, her wearing a nun habit, the concept of a nun's modesty, her religious practice, and the nun's vow of chastity have all been separated from each other like the constituents of overheated cheese.
