basically: what if the rumors about the new continent were all true? the north west passage was real, California was an island, and the North (Canada) was not worth bothering with due to being "impossibly cold and inhospitable" (hence being completely unmapped and unclaimed)

couldn't agree more, panda. i mean, the title of the thread is clearly in english! it's akin to posting car repair advice on a cooking forum.

Yeah - thankfully Google Translate has gotten pretty good.

I've learned a little Spanish... but because it happened while working in a commercial kitchen, it's all cooking terms and extremely creative swear words.
