She definitely won't fall for the romcom reader!
That will likely happen tho I wouldn't mind if they just follow through with the title and achieve their joint initial goal

Maybe she helps him with someone else down the road or something. Just hope they dont drag it on too long, this type of premise only works for short-ish series (30-40 chapters)

That oneshot from back then finally got its serialization but why is the pace following the oneshot?

Am i reading into it too much?

I read the oneshot, but now it's getting serialized, how's the story gonna continue from now? Will they start dating already or what

Decent start, I hope this will bloom into a romance story with the MC rather than another rehash of "Too Many Losing Heroines".

We have that at home already, I don't need more of the MC just being a mob for the entire series

Eh, tbh I would've liked it if she didn't fall for him and he as her platonic friend did help her out. But they just made her conscious of him in the 1st chapter...

Her personality is also like a pain in the ass, even though our boy set up moments for her.

I mean this is not really THAT original of a take now is it? Male lead trying to get his love interest together with someone else while said love interest falling in love with him instead. It is fairly tropey even. Could have saved the confession of the MC for a little bit later since that caused FMC to fall in love instantly. What else left to tell here?

Feel like it went through its core concept a little bit too quickly in a single chapter, but it was very entertaining. I hope it doesn't churn out of content ahead of time. Promising start so far, though.

Reminded me a little bit more of this one than the recent, well received anime that you're all thinking of, probably because of the fourth wall breaking noooooticing by the main character about how tropey his school is.

I was really excited for this one until I saw FMC waste the big chance MC gave her at the park. That was…pretty frustrating to read. If the entire series is basically FMC fucking up and prolonging things, I might not read this one.

The ending though threw a fun dynamic into the mix. MC saying something like that should give her a bit more confidence while simultaneously making her a little conscious of him. That could be really fun to play around with in character interactions.

Thanks for the translation!

fine for a one-shot, but I’m tired of romcoms being just comedy with little real romance. The Toradora-style setup (‘help each other chase someone else but end up together’) doesn't feel fresh to me. Unless the author adds something really interesting, it’s nothing new and won't survive many chapters.

I read ahead on the raws and it's actually very promising. Basically both MC and the in-universe romcom MC are extremely dense, with the only difference being that MC is savvy regarding romcom tropes. The dynamic they've set up between the main 4 should lead to funny romcom hijinks and misunderstandings for a bit. Having FeMC already be conscious about MC due to his confession in chapter 1 just adds to the charm imo.

Best laid plans of mice and men, eh?

Bro there is no way a character with red hair and blue eyes and a chiseled jawline is a "mob character" :thonk:

Honestly, I don't like the copout at the end. "I wouldn't go this far if I didn't, would I?" I mean, realistically yes, but it would be such a more interesting premise if it was literally just some dude who likes losing heroines legitimately trying to help one for the love of the grind, and the heroine genuinely loves her crush. Even if you had to have them fall in love, wouldn't it be so much more fun if it were done slowly and gradually? This kind of sudden reveal reeks of oneshot syndrome. :bleh:

Thanks for the TL as always. Looks like its going to be hopping on the trend of losing heroines. Interested to see how it goes from here. Male lead is pretty straightforward which is always a plus.
Personally I just like it because it forces the dude to be someone that isn't the stereotypical black hair MC and is the wing man charavcter
Eventually this will be a trope but I'm loving it

honestly i feel like would be too weird if it was just a guy also
buff chiseled mob characters are common in romcon buff with red hair or at least tall and well built but never get attention cuz the beauty standars are lean and soft looking boys
