They probably want the japaneese to produce children no matter the cost. That's not just a hunch. There has been a weird push towards sussy age gap grooming romance lately. I've see a shoujo romance manga about a 34-year old caretaker of a 18-year old teenage girl. A bunch of isekais have grooming / lolishit for some reason. There's a bunch of teacher x student romance lately. There's like a few age gaps that I'm totally fine with, but the age gaps lately have been lowkey unethical.
I mean loli under shower is a anime "classic" the thief who brought a slave girl home and that anime movie about chunibyu girl also had a loli under shower to name a few (tho in thief and here it's like prepubescent loli and in the movie it was highschool or middle school loli) but yeah shower scenes are easy and kind of cheap way to show something wrong with a women (would be cuter with less naked kids😑
is a sentence I never imagined typing (sigh)
This have started off rather cute and wholesome, it better not turn gross!
Thanks for the translation Flaemes TL
Na thats tame, gross would be the priest lusting after her and making good on his intentions. Not sure if you consider the saintess becoming yandere and persuing an unwilling priest gross but that's what I read from the spoilers
I would agree if the priest wasn't having second doubts about himself washing a distressed child. To be fair, they don't usually go for the child as a "child." The moral dilemma here is that they groom a child into adulthood, and then they make them their lovers. So not really a lolicon thing, more of a groomer thing (there IS a difference).
This argument is something when we are analysing history, this is not history, this is a contemporary piece of fiction, written by a currently living person. Not only that it was written with the intent to sell it, that means that this is a product, it has a target audience. Think about it.looks like it's time time for another usagi drop in another world. gotta say it's my favourite workaround: it's a completely different world and culture so conventional morality and values don't directly apply.
Few bit to correct as the anime doesn’t cover it but the novel does. In the light novel it’s very clear that it’s not just the body that matures when they gain levels but their mind does as well. So yes while she technically has only been on that planet for 12 years both her mind and body were effected by the leveling up and she is an adult in both body and mindOne of the many reasons why I did not like Shield Hero. We literally see the 10 year old (or younger, I'm not really sure how old she is) get a fully matured woman's body, and then she begins her never ending battle to seduce the MC. And then we get the giant chicken turn into a 5 year old loli who also wants his attention? I don't remember if he gets more lolis down the line, I'm pretty sure there was a tiny princess involved at some point.
