And are usually done anyway upon purchase. Kinda like you could have your pants length adjusted before buying. It's artificial detail, but it actually subtracts from the world. True, I imagine its a balancing act of trying to give enough justification that has a smell of logic without stringing along enough detail to hang yourself with your own rope.

In this case, most people wear mass produced goods irl except those of exceptional wealth or form, so unless they have some proper knowledge of the subjects at hand, its "good enough" for a flyby. Or so it seemed to me.
