As promised in the credits page, a few more bonus localization differences between our manga chapters and the official light novel!
-Deznim vs. Desnim - Purely localizer choice! No reason for it to be either way.
-Sutrena vs. Sutrena - YAY! We got this one right despite it being seemingly nonsense katakana for a made-up word.
-Lévbition vs. Levbition - Utterly shocked we got Robin’s last name mostly right. This kind of katakana means pure guesswork when we can't find a real-world reference.
-Lilianne Lumiure vs. Liliane Lumiure - Shocked again! We got it right even though I couldn't find an exact real-world match.
-Mocca, Marilyn, Lolly, Meiza vs. Mocha, Marilyn, Laurie, Mathers - the one I should have known to do right was Laurie...
-Torre Tolbert vs. Torre Torbert - I like ours better. Torbert sounds like less of a real name.
-Bell vs. Bert and Beltran vs. Bertrand - I simply like ours better, for both. Ours feel more charming.
-Monastery vs. Convent - LN specifically states Robin gets sent to a Convent with no women. Isn’t that a monastery...?
Thank you for reading this manga. This manga has been a pure joy to work on.
Thank you for translating this! The last update before you picked it up was 10 months ago and I was afraid it would be dead.
A bit generic but a very wholesome and nice ending for this manga.
All things considered, I really wish the translator could have embraced the term "Potato Lady". I understand an official translation is going with 'Bumpkin' , which is even worse. What's wrong with potato lady?
Thanks much for all your hard work though, TL! I've really loved this story, from when I first ran across it on Syosetu. It's been fun reading it in manga form.
Sorry. That was still us under STHAR Scans. I took on too many manga projects, thus delaying this manga (and it got taken by another group which uploaded a few new chapters on manga sites I don't really like, so that lit a fire in me to rush out all the remaining chapters!)
Thanks you so much for saying that! We're hard at work on all our other series and I hope you try them and enjoy them. (I'm biased, but they are all really awesome)
Because it's purely a Japanese word pun, we found it extremely difficult to incorporate the use of it (as you can see, I couldn't find the right moment to use it in these final chapters). I too wish we could have a bit more, but at least it's under some of our earlier STHAR chapters.
Thank you for the hard work. I really appreciate your TL notes after every chapter you guys uploaded as it helps me to understand the story better, seeing a lot of stories are not included in the manga.
So once again, thank you very much. Bless you all. <3
Maybe I'm in the minority, but after reading the light novel spoilers I'm glad the manga ended like this.
I really don't like how the plot develops in the light novel, most of it sounds like adding water to soup to make it last longer. There is a lot more action-y stuff too, which I don't care about at all.
With that being said, thank you to the team for bringing this to an end, I will miss drill-hairs dearly.
