What I hated here is that: reina didn’t tell yuta her insecurities, Aya and Yuta have history but didn’t set clear boundaries with relationships, this new girl recently got out of a bad relationship and using her kouhai status to flirt in his own space while trying to weasel her way in his heart. The guy is too nice and doesn’t set clear boundaries with her and is starting to fall for her. In a way no girl here is innocent and the new girl is conniving in finding any excuse to get close to someone else’s dorm.

Main problem I find is Reina... Sure, MC being dense and all caused a problem but remember...

In the earlier part of their dating he already talked about Ayaka and Reina said nothing of it AND as well as once around the middle, MC asked Reina if she was fine with him talking to Ayaka and she said it was fine.

Well, to be fair, she really didn't have doubts back then and she was totally fine with it, but because of that fact, MC now holds no reason to think that Ayaka would be a problem for their relationship since Reina herself said she's fine with it.

I mean, I understand that it would be hard for Reina to bring it up specially since she's the one that approved of it in the first place (or atleast I think I would have a hard time bringing it up if I were in her shoes), but because she never spoke up about it when she started to feel uncomfortable with MC's and Ayaka's relationship later on, I don't think she has any grounds to defend herself against that cheating she did regardless of "why she did it".

Another point with this is Natsuki's being a huge antagonist in this story since she's saying that MC should have set boundaries and made things clear BUT MC did try (although not a straight up talk with Reina) to set boundaries since he thinks the relationship he have with Ayaka would be bad for the relationship AND it was Reina who actually set the boundaries and established that their current relationship was fine with her so I really really hate that Natsuki is acting like Reina has done nothing wrong and MC should have clarified things with her.

This is such a god-awful story. MC-kun is so annoyingly incompetent in every emotiona and social way it’s insane.

If manga is made to appeal to the average Japanese guy, and MC-kuns are supposed to represent the average Japanese guy so that average Japanese reader guys can identify with them better, then no fucking wonder Japan has a birth-rate crisis. The emotional, social and communicative incompetence is insane. I know this isn’t necessarily the case, but sometimes it feels like mangaka and LN authors want foreign readers to believe that all Japanese men have severe autism or other communication disorders.

The MC-kun in this is on the emotional and social maturity level of a middle schooler, and I’m supposed to accept that he’s in his second year of college? Give me a fucking break. Dogs communicate better with humans than this fucking worthless freak.

If this was a comedy, none of this would matter, and the dumbass MC tropes would be acceptable. But we’re supposed to accept that this is a romantic drama. Sorry, not happening.

Oh, also, I hate how this artist constantly draws people with one eye closed when they aren’t even winking and are just saying something random. It looks dumb as fuck.

Fokin hell. Just go be with Ayaka ffs. Ayaka is probably being careful and doesn't also want to destroy their current relationship. She doesn't want to be treated as a rebound or at least make her think that she's one. But she's already catching feelings for him.

Bruh omfg this manga is so ass😭 seriously though, its not worthy of an 8 star rating. Thats actually crazy, the mc could be worse but the worst part is him not communicating. Spoilers: bro could've just confronted his ex about holding hands. I feel as if the manga would've been better off if it wasnt about him being cheated on, i read the ending and apparently he ends up with his junior. This manga leaves a sour taste, definitely dont recommend but if you do read just expect the same level as rent a girlfriend. The story progresses slow and its very redundant with plot events.

Reminder Ayaka is the best girl and it's not even remotely close.

Never in my life have i seen a single chapter getting flooded with so many comments that a mod actually comes in to lock comments on that chapter 😭

But yeah, this manga is absolute hot garbage, and you will come out of it disliking basically every character (ESPECIALLY REINA) except Ayaka
