I'm not with the team and haven't seen the raw but I feel it important to make it known that I found someone on one of the novel translation sites asking the exact opposite question and saying the raws say エレノーラ, which is also how it's rendered on the Wikipedia page.Thank you for the scans...

@Infrequent scans You do know her name is Elearora, right? EleaRora? Ellelaura? EreaLora? EreLola? エレローラ?
Where's the 'N' coming from?
I don't know about the wikipedia page, but the raws on syosetu has always been エレローラ as far as I know. From the looks of it, it's always just been a mistranslation that nobody's ever corrected.I'm not with the team and haven't seen the raw but I feel it important to make it known that I found someone on one of the novel translation sites asking the exact opposite question and saying the raws say エレノーラ, which is also how it's rendered on the Wikipedia page.
To compound the documentation of confusion, I went back and re-watched the episode of the anime where the character is first introduced (Season 1 Episode 7, about halfway through), and she clearly says エレローラ in the audio there as well.I don't know about the wikipedia page, but the raws on syosetu has always been エレローラ as far as I know. Understandable, Eleanora is a natural name in english. Elearora is a natural name in engrish.
Edit: Just went to check the raw too...

Top right box, right side, starting from the third character down, エレローラ. Had to double check because I was curious about the spanish version, and they also use Eleanora.
Howdy, part of the team here (Night the typesetter xd), I asked around and turns out we always have been using Eleanora, because its a common name, unlike Elearoa, Ellelaura, Erealora...you get the point. I believe we have slightly changed other names from their literal spelling pronounciation, (dont quote me on this) like Noa to Noah, and just things like that.Thank you for the scans...

Her nickname is Noa, but her whole name is Noire though?I believe we have slightly changed other names from their literal spelling pronounciation, (dont quote me on this) like Noa to Noah, and just things like that.
Not sure if this helps, but it is consistently "Ellelaura" in the Seven Seas translations of both the Light Novel and the Manga...Howdy, part of the team here (Night the typesetter xd), I asked around and turns out we always have been using Eleanora, because its a common name, unlike Elearoa, Ellelaura, Erealora...you get the point. It's fitting with the whole european setting of the story, and in my opinion, for an english translation it makes sense to use names english readers would have an easier time reading/pronouncing.
Thank you for reading! And I appreciate you pointing this out because I didn't know, and it's interesting.
i said dont quote me on this bro TT TTHer nickname is Noa, but her whole name is Noire though?
