Weeell.... They did show the Wider World™, and mentioned some agressive movements and territorial pissings here and there recently.
There's also the flash-forward we once got with MC's kids performing Percussive Diplomacy of some sort over something waaayyy back...

This manga is deceptive in that there's obviously some Moving and Shaking going on in the world at large, but it simply doesn't affect the Farming Village smack in the middle of the Forest of Death. Yet...
And the hints that are there are passed off as lighthearted "Oh, the Dragons/Demons/Traders mentioned something about whatever.. But I have to make sure to make people stretch before they go swimming, because that's Important... "

Well its their child fighting the vet, so after some years the vet should have countermeasures against their style of fighting in place. I think Zabuton and the wolf parent are way ahead of them tho.

I forget, didn't Ann already give birth to one of his kids (3rd)? I only ever see the first two kids lately (barely). It's like the others just don't exist in the manga. Even Hakurens kid seemed like a passing mention and already forgotten. Her whole child birth arch was about everyone coming to visit, and I think we had only a couple of panels with the kid in it.

To be fair, the same kinda happened with most of the kids upon birth - a chapter to introduce them, then maybe a single panel or two later on to show they're still alive and well.

I don't blame the author, there are so many other characters and story arcs to lump in, so unless the current plot is related, we probably won't see them.

On an unrelated note, Ann representing the Oni in the finals would make me very happy.

Yup, Ann is the official(ly unofficial) Oni Wife and as you pointed out gave birth to his 3rd child right before 2 elves (one the Elf Wife and one rando elf) gave birth to 4th and 5th. The oni child has had the absolute least amount of screen time. Compared to the other children, the adopted daughter has gotten the most lol.

On a unrelated note, DAMN YOU MANGAKA!! I need to know whether Ann wears thigh-highs or pantyhose and you cover the area in shadow!? I shall remember this....

It's because All the VC's Kid are still quite young at this point. Alfred is the oldest at 3 or 4. Uzra is like 5-6 now and old enough to make some racket.
