Maybe it's just me, but isn't she kinda weak for the amount of ridiculous skill points she supposedly has in combination with her demon lord level like class change ?..
I mean she basically killed herself alongside the sun and the other players were supposed to be a much much lower level than herself

She has a series of passive traits that are effectively huge debuffs out in the open (albinism, nearsightedness while in Sunlight, etc - her stamina/stats are lowered and actively drained while outside and exposed, and she can't see in daylight and so has to rely purely on her other senses).
She was fighting in her exosuit before which cancelled those out, but it was destroyed under a ton of status effects from the raid party, so she had to fight out in the open as herself.

Beyond that, the thing that probably most-contributed to her defeat was her reluctance to turn tail and run when things were getting dicey, until it was too late to do so.
She got cocky, and paid the price.

But mechanically she was at an actually-quantifiable disadvantage due to where and when the battle was taking place. And she was one PC, fighting against an entire coordinated raid team who had prepared for a very challenging boss fight, and she murdered a good chunk of them before they all effectively sacrificed themselves to take her down at the end.

I agree, feels like she couldn't even fight a singular healer, despite the thuge skill-point etc. advantage. Imagine if the defenders had had TWO healers!..
The debuffs do not really matter, it was not as if she couldn't have AoE'd the large player congregations further away from her without taking any damage herself. And the sun should have been easy to handle by putting on a farmers hat or something (or, yknow, not attack directly in the sun for no actual good reason). But either way, even asstupidly as she played it, it was odd how weak she was (particularly that inability to shake off dead corpses and susceptibility to debuffs...).

This is just stupid, if they wanted her to lose this fight they should've written it better.

Enough strength to put her hand through the guy while he's alive and lift him off the ground but somehow after dying he's now overpowering her to the point she can't toss him off? (Same thing for the tank.)

The healer who already very clearly stated she's almost reached her limit and supposedly focused on healing just the tank during the aoe spam magically keeping herself, the tank, and at least 4 other people alive through all those massive aoes?

What about that instant damage consumable the chick broke that instantly finished off the tank and also massively hurt Rare, why did it somehow not damage any other player when it clearly doesn't check for friend or foe?

Everything about this chapter is just asspull after asspull that no amount of overconfidence on Rare's part justifies.

Too late did she realize her hubris has cost her. If she retreated right away she could not have lost a siege of the city, but her desire to show off and put on a performance even after losing her armour has lead to her defeat. Honestly this is the better outcome I think narratively, the devs can put out an announcement that the players worked together to stop the calamity, however the evil is not dead, and is licking it's wounds in the insert name of forest here preparing for the next opportunity to strike at the kingdoms of light.

Does the event even continue now? Should it not end after they defeated the 'last boss'? Also how did she even get to this point given how stupid she is?
Just the simple fact that she attacked during the day, when she is at her weakest, shows she does not use her brain a lot

Honestly like the idea of Rare losing here. It's a huge narrative moment for the "good guy" PCs, and it is fitting, in that her own ego becomes the reason for her defeat.
She's not fully down and out - but this would represent a setback, and one that she will have to learn from to continue doing what she's been wanting to do.

Also - they still think she's an NPC. That alone might be a huge win in her favor, if through all of this the players all assume they just fought an absurdly potent AI and not another player-turned-BBEG. So I hope this is her defeat, the end of the event in favor of the defending players, gives her tons of new data and insight into how to not lose going forward, and allows the devs to work this event into future events where she can come back "stronger than ever".

Plus, this gives the Devs a reason to not nerf her or strip her of the powers she's gained. If she can be defeated her and now through coordinated effort - even if it was her own hubris that sealed her fate - then that means she's not a broken "cheat player" that needs to be reined in for the sake of play balance / enjoyment of others.
Which is good news for Rare in the long-term.

....I think the only thing that I wonder about, is what happens to all her minions, if she dies. Do they exist independently of her? Or are they only around, contingent on her being alive?That would be sad, if it's the latter.

Just know they definetly would've lost without the Debuff in the last chapter even if their coordination is that good Rare just HAS THAT MUCH more Exp than everyone else in the game so far that's shown, in All 50 players here are the Strongest in terms of Experience and Battle Experience and another thing, She isn't THAT OP even in the early games compared to other MMO's even compared to our standards oh the Dev's aren't going to move either it'll be interesting how they beat her in the later stages that's for sure

She was in an Artefact grade debuff field. Think of it as she's been rendered into a story-mode boss.
The traits she stuck herself with are a massive detriment to herself. Albinism and Sort-Sightedness means she has a nasty DoT when under direct sunlight. Plus she can't see, and hence target, anything beyond a rather short range. Not ideal when she's a full caster, and not a good situation when she's not able to get a full understanding of the battlescape.

And yes, she basically killed herself dropping point blank full strength AoEs right on top of herself vastly underestimating the debuff field, and the lengths the normies were going to go to in order to secure a victory. The healer didn't bother with keeping anyone but the best tank alive, and the tank wasn't concerned with anything but to lock down Leah's movement so she's not able to threaten anyone at range.

-The biggest threat of this event is the army of monsters, something that as we've seen earlier was rolling over the humans including players. She CHOSE to limit herself from using her full force.

The key takeaway from this is that no matter how powerful you think you are, no matter how far ahead you may be in terms of gear and equipment, no matter how much exp you've spent; You can still be killed. You can still be tripped up by the shitty ass 50 exp you've bought yourself way back in the beginning if you forgot it and didn't do anything to counteract the negatives it brought alongside that tiny bump in starting exp.

yeah, I took a peek at the ch 19 raws, and I'm legit sad now for Rare. I will say that the last panel of ch19 (part 2, specifically) does make me hopeful that she's about to bring the wrath of god herself down upon everyone who cost her all her friends, followers, and whatnot. Dunno what'll happen after, but I am praying that she utterly demoralizes them all (given she got them pretty extra wings).

She did infact do just exactly that read all 600 Novel chapters through google translate it was ass i'll tell you that much, least got what i did it for, well the gist of some important events, some of those chapters REALLY need a proper translator
