I think that what the author is trying, and failing to portray well, is that Yukishiro is too much of a "pure and wholesome perfect waifu" to even fully understand what is happening to Hanabi.

She's SO pure and holy and that she cannot even comprehend the levels of evils that she witnessed.

Possibly, my problem with this is it's such an extreme situation that could've got the exact same response from Yukishiro without having to have her fucking her sorta bf against her will and whoring on top of it. She could've been getting forced to keep dating him without explicit rape, the author is a shockmonger.

It's so frustrating, there's nothing wrong with her but then why is every other woman in this series a certified nutcase? Author has the subtlety of a sledgehammer. If you want to have fucked up manipulation and blackmail then perhaps have MC contend with it and grow and decide whether the abuse he suffered is justification enough to do nothing. Obviously not but having Yukishiro perhaps slowly open up Hanabi isn't much better.

It'd be so much better if she wasn't getting whored out, christ what were the editors doing.
