The other friends in her case are other girls, not dudes lol, cmon man, you know there's a difference, add in being teenagers and yeah. Even if it wasn't just teenagers can you honestly say you would be 100% fine if your girlfriend went somewhere with two dudes (even if you know them and knew your girl wouldn't cheat) and you had to learn from someone else?
I sort of get it but one of them is literally her friend( a friend she is always pointlessly jealous of , I get that) and the other she knows is a college girl who is his sister's friend. Ultimately idk how to feel about this but I will wait to see how these last couple of chapters go.

Well good relationship will have arguments here and there. Lets see how they reconcile.

They're trying to act like grown up and keeping distance + her career-ing + him studying n all, while they're still just middle schoolers. Just go out and have fun lol

Yamada is probably feeling lonely / neglected with the amount of interactions they had, Ichi probably okay with it. But well, everyone has different level of need. They'll need to talk it out.

While I dunno what is actually happening here because I can be dense sometimes (I take a lot of what people say at face value), I do wonder if it is a combo of her being upset at him for not spending time with her and she finally just reached the breaking point of them being apart like this COUPLED with the fact they are keeping their relationship quiet everywhere and well, here we are. But she is also upset with herself for even feeling like this when she knows these entrance exams are important to him especially after what happened the last time.

He is thinking about his future, and not just for himself, but for her too.

She is being overly dramatic, is not like he actually has the time for it, and he was dragged into it, also the whole reason he is helping the band is because Yamada doesn't wants it to disband

I get it that she is feeling both lonely because they haven't been hanging out as much, and jealous because he spend a day with Momo, but she is really making it sound like he maliciously is not making an effort to spend time with her

He prioritized that event over her. Its simple, since the whole studying not being seen together. She's upset that he had free time and she wasn't the first thing he thought of to spend time with. When its a new relationship you really need to prioritize your partner.
If that's the issue then she's pretty unreasonable, from what we can tell she was busy until late in the evening, even if he had asked to hang out it wouldn't have been possible for her.

I remain as unconvinced as Anna that her concerns over Moe are a big empty but, even if they are, finding out Kyo was with not just the girl she worries about the most but also the older girl she worries about nearly as much, and proritized them over her... that's gonna smart.

I feel like her issue is not jealousy, of course there's some mixed in and she definitely felt that way when learning about Kyou going to Moeko's house, however if that were the issue I think she would've reacted positively about him going after her and would've accepted his explanations and his apology.

I also don't feel like it's only about them not hanging out together recently, Kyou might be somewhat right but I also feel like that's not it, I think she's just worried Kyou doesn't need her anymore. Remember how at the festival she decided to leave after finding him hanging out with his friend and Moeko, it's possible that part of what drew her in towards him was that she felt needed, now that he's grown she might feel like he's no longer going to depend on her anymore.

She IS feeling insecure, not about someone taking Icchi away from her but about him growing up leading him far from her.

These are more complex feelings that probably explain why she's refusing to properly talk with him, she could feel guilty that she regrets he grew for example, she could also feel conscious about being a burden on him, if he was dating anyone else they could go on dates more frequently and there would be no need to keep their relationship in secret.

We need HER pov right now, a in depth and detailed POV not just a 3 panel flashback.

The author is piling up way too much of the blame on him recently. Both sides are at fault, now show her own inner struggles and stop mystery boxing her thoughts so much.

She is as much of a main character as him, so TREAT HER LIKE A MAIN CHARACTER TOO.

I kinda prefer this, is part of what made the beginning so charming, noticing how her feelings progressed while they weren't spelled out was quite a novel experience for me on manga. That now it's playing against us is totally fair and also part of the manga's identity imo.

Again a friend she has been worried about for like no reason , nothing Moe or ichikawa has done has ever crossed the line. Love anna but her jealousy over her is kind of ridiculous especially since they are such good friends , part of the reason why I loved their fight. I would get tired of it too if I was moe. Also did he really prioritize them? They were doing things for the moving forward song which is basically all about Anna and he was sort of dragged along to help since he wrote the lyrics, he wasn't thinking I have some free time and I'm gonna spend it with moe. It literally all started because they were making the animation for the song which is pretty important to both him and Anna.

I get that he definitely should have told her but the problem seems to be mostly his studying and her work has caused this rift , even if he goes back to before when he didn't have to do it so much. They still decided to keep their relationship a secret partly because she is becoming a big name and we know how Japan is with relationships. Ultimately , maybe with their parents support they are gonna have to announce their relationship cause Idk how long they can keep this kind of thing up

We have never, not once, gotten Yamada's POV like that firsthand. It's why it was such a big deal when Ichikawa found that letter she wrote to her classmate. She's been "mystery-boxed" for 181 chapters. This is core to what the manga is about.

But it's also a clue to the actual problem. We never got the sense that Yamada was less of a main character for most of the manga's runtime because she's been the no. 1 thing on Ichikawa's mind from the very beginning. Every moment they spent at school, there was romance in the air. When Ichikawa was at home, he obsessed over every little thing that happened in relation to her. Now, the school has been deemed unsuitable for romance, and there just isn't enough time for them together outside of school. (That's the actual problem - Yamada fundamentally doesn't want to be in a secret relationship. She's only putting up with it, as best as she can.)

The annoyance you experience over Yamada being pushed to the sidelines mirrors what Yamada is feeling right now. This is why she's mad. She doesn't want to be a supporting cast member in Ichikawa's life. Like any actor out there, she wants top billing.

Ah to be young and dating in the last years of middle school, at times where breakup rates are high.

Would be a crazy twist if they did end up splitting (even if is temporary, brutal if it's permanently)

The end subtitles gives me hope that we are gonna switch to a Yamada focused arc soon.

We REALLY need it now, we can't go another 100+ chaps with her thoughts being left as a mystery anymore.
