Zect is like in his 40s-50s mentally of course he is so chill, he's basically just enjoying living his second life with a chill attitude, he takes everything in stride and many things don't get to him(it's explained better in the light novel)

Right - I know that much, because it's why he gravitates toward the moms and not his party members when it comes to any sort of romantic attraction in the first place.
I'd have to go back and read whether he had a family when he died - but if he had any kids, or even if he didn't, it feels like he should know that some sort of parental discipline should come into play at this point?

Especially if he's going to effectively adopt his former party as his children by virtue of marrying all their moms. At that point he's just doing the bad kind of gentle parenting wherein he doesn't tell off his adopted kids (since he himself calls them literal children) when they're being objectively shitty.

That just makes him an ineffectual father, which isn't good either. He can be chill and want to relax, but simply being on his second life doesn't exactly absolve him of responsibilities he's chosen to undertake.

I don't think they're actually joining the harem.
They're being adopted by the MC as his daughters (and I guess Zect is his son since ....I guess he's not actually being disowned, as much as he deserves it).

If this goes the route of the three former party members also getting married to him, then I fully agree that this manga has gone too far and should be dropped, because that would also fully go against the initial premise of "MC is an old man in a young body and feels nothing for who he effectively sees as children" that we got back in the first chapters.

It's kinda really shitty that Zect almost gets off scot free for being by far the biggest asshole of the group while the girls all bear the brunt of what happened. not to say they're innocent in this because they clearly aren't, but Zect is just as much to blame (if not more since he seemingly also seduced the other 3 and contributed to them turning on Ceres) but he gets to walk away with no consequences while Ceres happily continue associating with him. Meanwhile the daughters are all going to be "trained" because it's unforgiveable that they aren't ready to be brides and have to see that their dads are plowing slave wives that look suspiciously like them. That's fucked up.
