Huh, shows how little attention I pay to these things. To be fair, I've actually shown up to work on some of our holidays an embarrassing amount of times.
Even though I work from home, that technically happens to me often, sometimes I'm unsure if a local holiday will be a day off or not, also with the USA holidays, it feels like is more from convenience of my boss which sometimes forgets to notify me, sometimes I am the only one in slack for a couple of hours until I go to watch or read something.

We've had some of our people set up meetings on slack (when we still used it) and send out messages asking if we're going to join the call, only to be told that it's a holiday, so no, we're not joining the call. I'm pretty sure it's the same guy in California who keeps setting up meetings at times when we all already went home....... because he doesn't believe in time zones I guess.

Yeah, had that happen a few times with people from the west coast who don't entirely understand that no one wants to stick around until six or seven.

On the flipside, my boss on the east coast has to deal with clients in the UK, so his day is over by midafternoon.

And no one on either coast understands Central time at all.

I have some family on the west coast who always forget about the time zone difference too. Nothing like getting woken up at 1am because you're sister decided she wanted to call and see how you're doing because obviously you would still be awake at 10pm.........

Oh. I figured how to react to thing other than the basic one-nya
Do you still not know how to use the secret reactions though?

Funny thing about that is you could use an alt to open that reaction page to your own comment to cheat the system, but unfortunately the higher-ups accounted for that.

Just a little tidbit from my thread on this topic
funny thing about THAT is you could just go to that "Are you sure you want to apply this reaction?" page and switch the post id in the url into one of your own to get the same result

Hmm, we're getting close to the milestone. It's going to be sad if the image I have saved for the moment just breaks in the end y'know? How embarrassing would that be. :notlikethis:
