I hope MC's indifference towards the crew members improve. 'Second' in "Moto Sekai Ichi" actually acts proper after his relationship with the girls around him advances. This MC, he slept with that elf and the elf wasn't really subtle with her attachment to him in the recent chapters. MC however is still being a huge asswad, what do you mean "Ehhhh here" when she wants to lean on you. He's not like any other Isekai MC for sure but even if you remove the harem or the miniscule amount of 'romance' but still he's far from having development at all in his characters... I suppose having your MC's being unique doesn't always mean it's gonna be good.

I sympathize with the MC. Regardless of how she looks or how nice she is, Serena brings more work and responsibility when she appears. For a guy who chose a mercenary's life, the MC is absolutely allergic to responsibility.

Well, if you dont want to do anything with politics you just treat it like a transaction and just forget it. But with Serena, he meet her coincidenly, what this is 3 or 4th time, and she always mean more work. Of course he is have a bad taste with it. And hiro himself said that if serena is not a millitary person, he will be friend just fine. He even said that serena is a cute girl.

Personally, i like how he banter with the girl, not an asshole one, just a bit rough (well he is a mercenary not a noble).
When he said "ehh here" is not that he doesnt care when she want to be with him. She said she want to take a nap, then why not take it on her bedroom to be more comfortable? Hell lap pillow will be more comfortable than sleeping while leaning.
