thanks for the translation. just wish they'd end mangas with the mcs just marrying after graduating school and building their life together instead of this 10+ years later reunion crap with all the drama and grief. feels kinda bad to try to cheer for them when they're in their 30s and finally build a family lol
Me too, this reunited lovers trope Japan loves to do is one of the worst things about romance manga, I can't stand it.
The rest of the manga was incredible, and the actual proposal scene was perfection, but why did it need to be 12 years of them not speaking to each other at all? this isn't the 1890s it was set in 1999, it could have easily left them in contact those years?? the internet age is when long distance relationships became POSSIBLE AT ALL

This fucking cuck spent 12 years digging wells for people who are gonna steal all the pipes a day later anyways instead of laying pipes in that hottie he had waiting for him.
He couldn't even get them to wear shoes, and failed to teach them to read.

Meanwhile he wasted most of Emi's most fertile and highest energy years.

Lol PC was still expensive as hell in 1999. Internet was dial up. Your favorite email providers were still not created. Mobile phones were as large as a brick and sms fee was robbery.

I like how the author added that last part, just to let readers know they both stayed celibate for 12 years. This guy understands how readers will overthink everything, unless it's cleared up.
