tbf there's prolly still corruption but more in the paperwork way, not the open brutality way, like how ppl are like "99% of ppl arrested get convicted even if they're innocent" or so /cops being useless as a trope in horror/supernatural /other stories but considering this is lighthearted it'll prolly be fine.

But yeah, JP prolly doesn't have an "ACAB" culture(?) like US would other than something that'd critique the gov as a whole

Damn, how bad is the culture in Japan that cops are hated that much? America is excluded, cuz I know the reason why, but is there a deeper reason why Japanese cops are hated? In my country, we respect the cops for keeping the place safe and especially when they help move traffic along whenever the traffic lights are broken.
