Please someone tell me why my gut says October is bad news anyone know japanese mythology.
I think I explained this in one of my TNs a while ago, which is why you probably remember it. And yep, it's relevant. Mythology says that in October all the gods from all over Japan go to Izumo Grand Shrine to discuss their plans for the coming year in a giant meeting / party. So if you're in Izumo, October is The Month With Gods (Kamiarizuki). If you're not, then it's The Month Without Gods (Kannazuki).

So practically, this means Mogami (who is secretly the supreme Inari-sama from Okayama) will be out of town and can't protect them from any bad things.

Kogane falling into the 'I'll start tomorrow' trap seems foreboding. On the other hand, a good meal offsets a huge number of ills (though I'm not sure if it counts when you have the meal first).

Thanks for the chapter!

Don't worry Kogane, in the famous words of Mark Twain, "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow just as well"

Oh yeah, so that's why she wanted Goro to come along with her.

What a rollercoaster of a chapter. The serious moments with Goro-mama really hit home, and it shows how serious Goro's depression was. And for all the cries of "Goro's a monk", seeing that his parents tell him, even as an adult, not to play around with women, feels very natural. This is the lesson he's internalized. That's why he's so hands off. The storm starts next time, and I can't wait to watch its fury. Thanks as always to sarusa.
