I just binge read this whole manga, thinking it was ahead of its anime, to be ready for season 3...

I would like to keep reading this as I've binged read to like chapter 50. I love the characters like Tomoe but I did research and these chapters are impossible/slow to update or release.
The web novel started in 2012 and stopped updating in 2022 (author probably just lost interest) and has over 300 chapters.
Manga started in 2015 and its been a decade and we're only just reaching the 100s. This will not be freaking finished until like 2040 at this rate. As much as I don't want to drop it, I'm gonna make the hard decision to stop reading it. It's just gonna be an insane amount of time waiting RIP
Like 50 chapters in (Maybe around 5 years of waiting) and it hasn't even been half a year in the story.

Atleast I do know Makoto Tomoe and Mio do finally get relationship building at chapter 305 in the web novel and they finally DO it. With Mio and Tomoe mentioning they were tired af and Makoto didnt break a sweat.

This manga kinda remind me of slime datta ken. I think i will keep reading this as its still on going

I like it a lot more than the slime one - I'm actually not quite sure why I like it so much but I do.
I think MC acts at the very least a bit more dignified than the other ones - he understands that some people have to die and not killing them would risk harming people important for him, he seems to understand how powerful he is and how he can shape the world but he's not trying to bend everyone to his will because it's not like there's any point to it.
Thinking about it now - I feel like this story is something in between Overlord and Slime datta ken - the MC tries to not kill too many people, but is ready to act a bit rougher when need be. He does collect more servants as time goes on and the story shifts more into seeing how the world reacts to his presence rather than describing his adventures. Decent worldbuilding although I've seen better, enjoyable side characters that I feel were not given justice in the anime and lost some depth there, the lack of any real threat isn't as big of a problem as some people think (same way it's not in One Punch Man) it just makes the side characters more important to the story as they are the ones that have to overcome the difficulties, also MC can struggle in other ways especially when dealing with lower beings than himself.
9/10 for me - although I have to admit objectively it's probably a bit worse but it resonates with me in just a right way.
