What I love so much about this, beyond the humor and wholesomeness, is how it ably steps over a barrier like it‘s not even there that so much manga (and novels, and anime) crashes into: this dating couple kisses (sometimes onscreen) and even has sex (never onscreen). But it’s not a big deal. Because that’s not what this story is about.

And… yes. It is literally that simple! You can just assert that your characters do stuff offscreen that the audience isn’t privy to, and we‘ll believe you! And yet 99% of Japanese fiction acts like there’s a binary choice between “this romance is so slow-moving and so ridiculously chaste that you’d be forgiven for wondering if anyone in Japan has ever reproduced, ever” and “welp guess we’re doing literal porn”. And it’s just not true, and this doofy manga about gyarus who found out they were soulmates because of a half-serious whim is out here lapping you stupid bastards!

Anyway, in conclusion, for fuck’s sake get your act together with regards to sexuality, Japan, and this is an American saying that so you know you’re bad off. This is why you have a population problem, I’m deadass serious
