Dang, this manga is just toxic NTR, the art makes it looks less gross than it is, I bet that's why it has a high rating, but its still pretty gross.

HATE. Let me tell you how much I've come to HATE this story from the first chapter.

I started reading this for a wholesome yuri story. When Fukko got introduced, I thought it was gonna be a story about a partner who gets manipulated into cheating, then realizes it's wrong and changes herself for the better. I was so far from the truth.

Let's get this out of the way: Yuni is not only a horrible person, but they're also a horribly written character. And the thing is, her red flags were showing since the very BEGINNING. (I'll get back to this.)

AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT FUCKASS FUKKO BITCH

I don't think anyone realized that Fukko just straight up manipulates Yuni. And it's insane because I see people ROOTING FOR FUKKO?! That is so fucking confusing, why the HELL would you root for the OBVIOUS MANIPULATOR?! AND THEN THE WRITER WANTED ME TO FEEL BAD FOR FUKKO?! FUCK NO! I DON'T GIVE A SHIT THAT YOU HAVE A BAD FAMILY, OR ABANDONMENT ISSUES, THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO MANIPULATE SOMEONE INTO CHEATING ON THEIR PARTNER AND THEN MAKING THE PERSON BLAME THEIR PARTNER FOR CHEATING!

The best example of how awful Yuni is, and how manipulative Yukko is, is the fucking anniversery day chapter. FROM THE START Yuni could've asked Nanase the plans for their anniversery, but she didn't because she "wanted to know if Nanase loved her" BULL FUCKING SHIT. Even after everything was done, Yuni actually realized they're in the fucking wrong. BUT EVEN THEN SHE NEVER FUCKING CHANGED. And that call scene. Yukko was being so petty, and I really did expect Yuni to, y'know, snap out of it and fucking backhand Fukko. But Yuni is just so horribly written, that all she says is this awful excuse of "Oh, I'm trying to listen to her, but there's this voice that's louder!" YEAH, IT'S FUKKO FUCKING MANIPULATING YOU, IDIOT! AND INSTEAD OF EVER THINKING "Wait, Fukko's just manipulating me!" SHE DOES THE WORST THING AND FUCKING HANGS UP ON NANASE. ABSOLUTE FUCKING DOGSHIT.

In my opinion, Nanase was NEVER in the wrong. And I'm tired of people saying she is. Did she like her club a lot? Yes. But she literally said that she loved Yuni equally as much. And I don't see ANYONE bringing up the reason this awful story "started". The reason Nanase wanted to keep their relationship secret is completely justified. She was being a, y'know, GOOD partner and not wanting to have Yuni be shunned and bullied. And that's such a green flag. BUT THAT SAME MOMENT, YUNI THINKS "Oh, I'm not scared of that!" THEN FUCKING SAY IT!!! YOU'RE LITERALLY ALONE WITH YOUR GIRLFRIEND, SAY THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO HIDE ANYMORE YOU MORON! AND OF COURSE, ANOTHER REASON TO HATE FUKKO IS BECAUSE SHE'S ACTIVELY STALKING YUNI. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW PEOPLE ROOT FOR THE TWO ->OBJECTIVELY<- WORST CHARACTERS IN THIS GOD-AWFUL STORY.

AND ANOTHER REASON TO HATE THIS STORY IS THE COMPLETE ABSENCE OF ANY CHARACTER DEVELOPEMENT. The best example of this is earlier in the story, when Yuni is with Fukko, and Fukko keeps rambling about "number ones" and "number twos" and Yuni is (surprisingly, with how poorly written she is) thinking "all this number 1 crap is weirding me out" or something like that. And yes, it is weird! This looked like good character developement! But what's that? I just remembered this story is trash, and Yuni REVERSES ALL POSSIBLE CHARACTER DEVELOPEMENT IN THE 35TH CHAPTER WHERE SHE SAYS "I can't return my girlfriends words (Nanase said "I love you Yuni"), for my number one is-!" IT'S SUCH AN AWFUL SCENE BECAUSE IT GOES TO SHOW HOW HORRIBLY WRITTEN THIS STORY IS! WHAT DO YOU MEAN "NUMBER ONE"?! IT'S OBVIOUS SHE WAS GONNA SAY "FUKKO", WHICH COMPLETELY TORE ME AWAY FROM THIS STORY. I didn't even bother to read the 36th chapter, because it's more Yukko backstory slop.

This story is so comedically, and infuriatingly unrealistic that it hurts.

And finally, this story isn't about the result of cheating, and how to heal from both cheating on your partner, and getting cheated on by your partner. This isn't a story about how miscommunication can lead to the worst of outcomes. No. This story, from what I've seen, is about romanticizing cheating, and trying to justify a manipulator (and a debatable sexual assulter). And if this was trying to be a good story, then it failed miserably.

I swear, if this manga ends with Yuni and Fukko together, painting them in the right, then this will genuinely be one of the worst media I've ever consumed in my entire life.

most yuri fans loves toxic series like these, there's legit plp who enjoy bad thinking diary too
so don't be surprised atp
Why is this rated 8/10? I can understand that there's always a lewd bump, but this is just bad writing. You expect me to believe that a teenage girl posting pictures of her cheating online and gets caught by someone seeing it IRL? There's plot convenience and then there's whatever this is, because this makes no sense at a

So basically you started reading a story you didn't know what it was about and then got mad it didn't deliver the narrative you wanted.
Also you said Nanase likes her club but likes Yuni just as much, makes me wonder if you even read the story. She uses that bs excuse but it's obviously not true. She blows off Yuni for practice, let's her team mates crash there date, pushes herself to the point of passing out and wants Yuni to be happy watching her sleep on video call. Not to mention she forgot an anniversary they both agreed was a corner stone of there relationship. Meanwhile she never forgets a single drill. That doesn't sound vary equal unless I miss understand how math works.
Also you shouldn't use words like objectively in a post that is clearly nothing but an emotional rant about subverted expectations and how disappointed you are that the whole story wasn't what you want it to be.
Finally as far as realism goes you know vary little cheating is people magically realizing they've missed up and having good solid connection right? I mean people and the world are usually 60-85% dumpster fire.

While I only skimmed you 2s walls of text, this doesn't really cover all the realism issues. It's not just the way the cheating is resolving that's unrealistic, it's also the ways it's being carried out. Why would someone post their own cheating online? Why would you cheat when you know your partner is 10 feet away? Nost importantly of all, how is it that none of this gets discovered until its convenient to move the plot forward.

It's just bad writing, not subverting expectations, misdirection, or even avoiding tropes. The actions of the characters in this story only serve to either stall or progress the story as needed. Not to mention there seems to be no tangible consequences for any of their actions, which destroys any stakes the story has.

“Hurt people hurt people”

“All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”

Sounds like a lot of people here need to learn that. This has been a great series of what happens when everyone wants what they can’t have, and everyone wants to give just a little bit less than they can. When the first drop of poison enters the well, what can you do? Do you drink the water and try to ignore the taste? Do you go thirsty? Do you drown yourself in it instead? What can you do?

These are flawed people, not flawed characters. They’re young girls who are scared and proud and lonely and surrounded by the people they fear and admire. They’re terrible people that only want to love.

I just don’t want this new character to be the scapegoat that unravels this tension easily. This story shouldn’t be a neat bow to be tied back without consequence.
