Why do people generally hate "normies"

Normies are part of the majority and look at unusual things as "weird" and "bad" and consider their own lifestyle as "the correct way". As Basic said they try to change things they don't like. They're susceptible to herd mentality. And it's something of a "nerd solidarity" thing- the idea of "if they dislike and exclude us then we hate them too".

Anecdote (not even related to animanga): drinking tea is very common here but I hate tea, and people are always surprised and overreact when I say that. It's such a simple thing but they can't even accept that
