I do wonder what the end game of this series is. It's obvious that Iruma is a reincarnation of Dekira, so what is the human past bringing to the series? This has to be before Iruma is born, given this is Amelia's family story. So would there be a connection between this human and the Demon King or not?

So I said in my comment that what if Henri helps this human go back to the human world and in the process meets Merize.

Well, what if this is, in fact, Iruma’s mom and she is in this “cell” because she is associated with Delkira (either by being his lover or a descendant) and somehow border patrol knows and have detained her to get his whereabouts. Henri, spending so much time time with her hears she wants to return to the human world and finds a way to help get here there. In the process of him returning a human to the human world he runs into Merize either in the flower garden or in the human world.

I’ve held a theory for a long while, but what if the people Iruma thinks are his parents are very much not so. Either they are people who were found to take care of him and he has no blood ties with them, they are distant relatives but not parents, or the darker option of him being a orphan and the parents are a figment of his imagination and he just uses them to explain his misfortune.

I feel like the "Parents" that exploited iruma were just adopted parents. They really didnt care much for him and just used him because it was convenient

I do find Merize's face too similar to Iruma's, but I find weird how Henri did not see that resemblance when they met in chapter 37-38. By that time, he was already suspicious Iruma was human (he was questioning Sullivan, see chapter 23). If Iruma and Merize were related, I believe he would connect the dots after seeing a kid who (to us) is the spitting image of his wife. Instead, he is completely indifferent even in his inner thoughts.

If they are indeed related, I wonder how this contradiction will be explained.
