it's not dead
site is alive under different domain name
the discord server as well
but they don't telegraph the links to both that openly
I heard some users on reddit said that, but I was kinda thinking maybe those redditors are just being dumb or trying to mess with people, and it’s actually just mangabuddy or some other manga site that’s been around forever. Correct me if I’m wrong.

i've received several dms to share the link
not sure if it's allowed to post it here or send the link as reply to each dm
the new site's been recently listed on everythingmoe so you can find all the links there
the logo design is the same so it's hard to miss it

upd: a note has been added on everythingmoe about the site
note: This site is identical with Bato.to only with different name. Still unknown if it made by the same people.

"real Bato" die years ago, "current bato" pretty much alive but since they, in my understanding (cmiiw), use third-party hosting to store all the manga image/pages, when you open a chapter there will be low to decent amount of page that failed to load because the host having a problem. on "bato" side they arent able to find replacement

Oh, surprise, it's the Koreans leading the charge. :aquadrink:

Also:
[...]Today we can officially confirm that Kakao Entertainment is driving the action.

Through its dedicated anti-piracy enforcement arm, P.CoK, the South Korean entertainment giant is categorically targeting Bato.to and many related people and services. [...]

"What should we call our anti-piracy campaign?"

"How about something flashy... Peacock?"

"The American television network NBC would like a word-"

"No, no, spell it differently. ... P.CoK."

"Brilliant! No one who speaks English on the internet will mock us for such a masculine name!"

:worry:

All this risk of losing your manga web hosting site cause korean web comic companies are mad that their crappy pornwha is getting pirated.

We really should ban them all from being uploaded and save ourselves the headache.

They suck anyway, it's all just lightsaber dicks.

Honestly would not be the worst idea at this point - all the big pushes over the last year or so seem to have been spearheaded by the Koreans, with the Japanese more or less along for the ride. If it eliminates a large portion of the scrutiny on the site, why not?

(It also helps illustrate the relative importance the two countries' industries assign to the foreign markets.)

The ironical part of Kakao (I bump with some of their titles even if I don't read Korean manga) is that MangaDex has "pornwha" from them and they weren't taken down, are they unaware or too embarassed to admit it? For example, this one.

Oh god please no... why do they continue just giving up like this... not once was someone of the scans dragged before the law neither the big manga sites but they continue to give in from the dmca harrassment... they should stay strong in these times not give in... why is there nobody who just says fuck you and let them understand that messing with them is messing with billions of people and unite them against them...

Tbh, every takedown should be answered with: "we will comply, but also take down [raunchiest series by that publisher] and specifically mention it. We just need your agreement now"

Also, it usually is easier to just end the domain and then do the page again with those fake moustache glasses, as Batothree(fake name) is doing.
Mangadex, due to looking for long term legitimacy, couldn't do that, so it had to eat the loss of those series, same as e-hentai does with the tyranny of irodori and fakku
