And this is what happens when what started out as an adventuring story turns into a kingdom building one. Gets boring pretty quick. Most likely the same reason why the author of Captain Corinth: The Galactic Navy Officer Becomes an Adventurer abandoned it when it turned into kingdom building.

Damn, there was like two panels of action. Literally less than a page. The rest was exposition, which was to be expected I guess. The neuter lead up to the battle was really pretty drawn out too.

Thanks so much for the translation! I really want to see the exiled noblewoman’s brothers get wrecked soon.

Whats frustrating is that all of this could have been two finished in less than two pages, it feels so much like filler.

I know it’s not the most popular type of manga, but I like manga that involve politics. Still, it would be interesting if they showed the group fighting, even if it were in a “chessboard” format with a few flashes of the main combatants.
It works if it's there from the beginning like Realist Demon King and How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom. The political intrigue is much more interesting when the factions are set up near the beginning and we get to see what each party's aims are. Here, not only did we not start the kingdom building until about 50 chapters in, the first "political" struggle was just jealousy from his family that was resolved in short order. Following that, we're just getting tossed randos out of nowhere and the only justification for Wendelin getting involved is "This is the way this kingdom works, deal with it." Thinking about it, Wendelin being a passive party just getting dragged along to other people's whims is what makes this really frustrating. Like, what is the end goal here? What is he trying to accomplish now?

I think the primary issue is that this started out as being more action oriented... But the writer/mangaka made the mistake of making the MC too overpowered for the setting, so they had to make a hard pivot towards political intrigue instead of action.

They should have just figured out some way to nerf him, or introduce bigger fish to match him.

Guess im the only one thats enjoying where this manga is going lol
I’m enjoying it too. But I’m aware that this isn’t the most popular type of story. Also, the manga really shifted from an action story to one focused on politics, which must be turning off a lot of people who started reading it expecting an action manga.

The stakes are simply too small. Kingdom building is fine if their was a reason to care.

Theirs no tension in this manga because the MC is overpowered and nobody on his side will ever die.
