Oh man that joke at the start about payments and her being a girl.
So much context needed to get it.
She has been sealed for a very long time. She would be from what, edo era Japan, maybe even further. (actually its odd how little it comes up that she would be very disconnected from modern culture)
But yeah girls wouldn't really be the ones taking the payments back then, there husbands would manage money, as well as be the ones expected to pay for things for the girls. As back then women where pretty much property of their fathers, or husbands.

Now this is where she was making a joke, she basically calling him her husband questioning why he would give her a payment. She was pretty much saying she belongs to him. She was teasing him with dated as hell wife roleplay. Which I am very unsure if he would realize that's what it was.
