p.12 goes so hard. Love me some negative-space-storytelling.

Shien perked right up the moment she found out which job Tama was trying to get to. Can't wait to find out how she knew, since she has forever given me the impression that--for however lazy and apathetic she may seem--she's scarily "with it" when things count, in the ways that matter most.

Here's to hoping she can also pull through for Rea. And eventually, I want to learn what Shien's story is.
Because the way she is, I feel like it'll somehow be either the most mundane we've heard, or so horrific it'll require a CW or something.

That two panel cigarette kiss spread was gorgeous! I love this manga's art style so much.
No joke, it's insane how the entire two-panel only features the cigarette-kissing window with so many lines and details and the outside absolutely empty except for the smoke floating away, plus some little spots around the window.

I mean, if I don't know any better, I would just think of it as smudge on my computer monitor or the original scanlator's scan machine, or maybe it was the original artist's paper draft.
But knowing the mangaka, it was probably intentional to make the rest part of the two-page seeming devoid of anything and unfinished.

Indeed, the art style is still so good, and the beauty marks on Shien's panel looks as pretty as always~

Now to wait for the next chapter when two witches officially meet obliviously at a part-time job!

my read on it
Is showing that, in that moment

they were the only two things in all of existence, as far as the other was concerned.
