When that ??? skill popped out on his chest, it looked hella eerie. Also, i forgot about that skill but reading the comments helped refresh my mind. I like the theory that it seems like the world is forcing them together, cuz i dont feel like theres anything between them

This reminds me that in the previous chapters we see a short flashback of Tiara, Sith and a guy with black hair and black clothes.

I guess all three of the main leads are Reincarnations of these three legendary figures.

Yeah, it's still subtle, but the reason is just simple though. MC is just a kind person, his sister said so, Maria said so (chapter 31). In the first place, his goal is "to save someone who is close to him." This chapter just confirms that Lastiara has already become somewhat close to him.

Instead, I think his fault in this matter is that he really should open up more, maybe say to Lastiara that she is as important as his sister. He should sort out his feelings and conclude that he should save both his sister and Lastiara, as they are truly close to him. But skill ??? interfering lmao.
yeah, but I kinda feel like Lasteria's using him like that, in how she forced her entry on his live...as khazar mentions
Haha... wow when I remember what I first wrote about Lastiara...
His first encounter, His first ?love?, his favorite partner, the longest arc, the trope* of Maria describing her traits and MC realizing something about it, every character cares for her, she is everything... and now she is under threat of becoming nothing, how poetic.
The author is obsessed with Lastiara and it's amazing to see. :wowee:

*reminds me of Nisekoi, the chosen girl, no one has a chance, because she is the chosen one.
I get the author is free to do what he wants, but when it's so clear, it kinda irks me hahaha (on my case)

Is there anyone here who understands Japanese and has read the novel? On the website where the author posted the webnovel, there's a comments page for each chapter. I only read the author's explanations about people's questions through machine translation, so I'd like someone who has actually know japanese to confirm if my understanding about then is correct.

From what I see, the protagonist comes from a family of actors and, above all, is an actor. He wears several masks to make people like him and manages to fool even the readers.

His true nature is a piece of shit who GENUINELY sees everyone around him as NPCs. What he most desires in life is to be a video game protagonist. His love for Lastiara is due to "her being the call to adventure." He is fully aware of the stress he's causing Maria in this arc but doesn't care because "plot progression is more important than this character" and will continue doing things that "advance the plot" and dosen't make any logical sense at the expense of another characters until the end of the story.

The protagonist undergoes MANY brainwashings and memory alterations throughout the story, but his true nature never changes. "Because that's the real Kanami."

A character who mirrors him gets angry and kills him because kanami never stops making declarations that he never pland to fulfill (he essentially passes a curse that affected him to a "daughter" before abandoning her, said daughter goes insane, and much later he declares he wouldn't mind dying for her, but he lied, always believing everything would turn out well). This never changes until the end of the story, he only stops pretending to be a good person who genuinely takes action with others in mind

Lastiara possesses this exact same personality, but unlike Kanami, never hides it. She shows no scruples about taking advantage of a chance to get closer to the other girls in the party, while they affected by a curse that unearthed and intensified feelings they would prefer to hide, seeing this as a shortcut to get closer. There's a harem because lastiara is the TRUE PROTAGONIST and she wants cute girls in her story, lastiara forces herself into kanami's story and pushes maria away because the girl was slowing the plot and should train off-screen until is no longer a hindrance for the "epic she writing"

It's a giant disservice to do that, both to the story and yourself
But I'll answer regardless, albeit cryptically
P(aragraph) 1: Correct
P2: Only applicable to Arc 1(ends at 20th guardian), his mindset shifts from "gamer" to "antisocial" from Arc 2 onwards
P3: Correct
P4: Correct
P5: Partially correct, that mindset is fully cemented post-Arc 2(which the manga is approaching the end of), her current mindset is that of a "side story" to St. Tiara instead of Lastiara's "main story" post-Arc 2
Also, she doesn't push away Maria for "Le epic writing" but out of genuine care for her(Chapter 30, page 26's dialogue)
And to answer your comment from Ch41, you can't delete comments on here, the most you can do is edit it to say:

THANK YOU :salute:

But I mean, the volumes stopped being releasing in 2021, and fan translation of the web novel in 2017. It's not like I was going to finish this story anyway, but I wanted some answers
