It was a pretty smart choice to let a human well known in the town to kill the evil hero. Ironically dragon bro not being able to kill the evil hero quickly, letting the scumbag demonstrate his true nature aplenty, also served the big picture, even if it produced some victims. Though those people will also be telling tales of the dragon actually healing some of the victim. It's nigh impossible for anyone to label dragon-Irushia evil in that town afterwards.

That... Was incredibly satisfying as a conclusion.

Not only did the scumbag piece of dogsh*t completely betray himself to the public at large, exposing the church's corruption in the process, he forced Dragon-Irushia to become a hero to the locals without even meaning to, and then got killed by someone he'd accused of massive crimes in front of everyone.

He f*cked up so hard that even the god that chose him as its hero abandoned him and chose Dragon-Irushia instead.

The karmic justice is so incredibly delicious.
