This series does rely a bit too heavily on contrivance.

Also, does he know it's his wife... ? I feel like he has to, or he wouldn't be confessing all this to her, but he called her Mari. I don't think that's her real name, cause she changed her name for her revenge.

Sometimes a similar name is chosen so that you would respond naturally when hearing the new name. Obviously it won't work well when you're with someone that you were intimately close to due to all the other cues like body language, reactions, etc.

I (the translator) have no idea. It was weird. But it is what was written in the manga. I tried searching the whole manga to see if it was a memory and it happened in a previous chapter but i found nothing. Thank you for reading

With all the faults this manga has, Maria and her husband have one of the best relationships I've seen. They never blame one another, punishing only themselves for sins only they perceive. They just love each other so much and it's so sweet and so freaking sad

It's not the case. That's Kiritaka's bike and cell phone. It's just that Kinugawa has taken Kiritaka's bike after his death.
