If the Next chapter will be the final chapter of the manga we will suffer the worst ending since attack on titan, no even worse than that. If it’s just the last chapter of the part we will have to suffer through another part of this.

Should really have ended after the first part, huh. Second part was a messy rethread of the first. It could have been interesting if it stayed on Asa, but Denji got forced back in when there was no story left to tell with him.

I guess it's fitting that "that shit is so ass" came from this manga and will be how it's concluded.

Chainsaw Man's the one manga where a peace sign can do massive damage to my heart, god

I can't even imagine what a world without Pochita could look like, this is the first time I'm grateful for a 2 week wait for the next chapter because I need the time to process that lmao

Denji being the kind of person to rip happiness out of despair makes a ton of sense after everything we've seen but what does a world like this have left for him? For any of the cast members? Does anyone we've already said goodbye to get a second chance in a world like this? Personally I'm incredibly excited to find out, Part 2's been a Ride lol
That's the thing now isn't it? The 4 ways to kill a person without killing them? Nazis, nuclear weapons, the star that makes kids go insane, and the mount iho eruption. I have this nasty feeling that when chainsaw man is gone, the reality that gets created will be worse than what was going on.

Then again, was denji really human?

The whole of part 2 has been kind of a mess, even if we take into consideration it's Fujimoto who's the author, it's still way to loosely put together when compared to the first part (It's kinda sloppy too).
Pochita doing a literal story reset in the final act, after a huge amount of nothing happening, is proof enough of how much Fujimoto knows he burnt whatever he was cooking.
This whole development also undermines (even more) the whole character arc Denji went through in the first part, but whatever, it's quirky I guess.

Edit: Back when Part 2 first started, I got hit with some flaks in the comments here because I called it a souless cash grab built upon the corpse of a good story.
I mean I'm happy to provide the flak now, I don't see why you feel vindicated in saying it was bad just because it's ending. I remain pretty convinced that the majority of people who constantly shit on part 2 just can't get over the fact their basic shonen fantasy was killed off with Power and Aki and part 2 didn't bring them back.

I don't understand why it mattered that they were eaten by a devil. They've been swallowed whole by devils before. Denji has been turned into body parts before, and put back together like he's made out of Legos. He's actually immortal on account of being a hybrid, but on top of that, he already ate the Death Devil. And they're in a mind space, right now, so I don't know how Pochita ate himself in it.

If the Next chapter will be the final chapter of the manga we will suffer the worst ending since attack on titan, no even worse than that.
You're making it sound like I should anticipate video essays a year from now, leveraging every detail and sequence in the narrative to explicitly explain the story and implicitly assert that a large swath of the readership concocted an interpretation directly contrary to the narrative and its themes.

In that case, the manga will be controversial at best for the foreseeable future, having fervent detractors that were able to convincingly describe their dissatisfaction before those who preferred the manga as a whole figured out how to express themselves just as coherently (if they're not just confident that someone can). People will more often than not talk about it glowingly because glazing it is manifestly more profitable than shitting on it, but it'll be something of a black sheep apart from those videos and dedicated fan spaces since talking about it will attract fervent detractors and favorers who either inundate you with refined brainrot masquerading as references to criticism, or essay-tier expositions in spaces that literally can't accommodate them.

I remain pretty convinced that the majority of people who constantly shit on part 2 just can't get over the fact their basic shonen fantasy was killed off with Power and Aki and part 2 didn't bring them back.
If that's actually the case, I can't entirely blame them-- Power did give Denji the task of finding and re-befriending her in Hell, and Denjiman went to Hell for all of two minutes just to be assaulted by a locust.

Anyhow, I've never been a fan of assuming people don't like a story because it's actually too mature or complex for them-- especially not here, when Aki was killed off well before Part 1 ended, which would imply that the majority of consistent Part 2 detractors didn't even care for the latter portion of Part 1.

How am I supposed to believe that? I think the best time was when he was an operative — there was flirting, there was lots of delicious food, there were battles with demons. How could the best time be when he was eating garbage as a homeless person? That's nonsense.

I feel like we have been going in circles for a while now. Maybe it's for the best :fml:
For real man. Part 2 really lacked direction compare to part 1.
If this is really the end of chainsaw man, honestly it would have been there was only part 1, stronger package in terms of story telling/direction [that is assuming if this all we get].

I actually think Denji is gonna die next chapter. It's a reference to Dony Darko kinda. We see him go do all this crazy cool main character shit that leads to the end of the world, but it loops back to the beginning and he dies and the universe is saved with his death. On a happy note, he will be the most happy in his little shaggy shed. There was some foreshadowing of sorts, when he tells Asa he couldn't go back to eating toilet paper. Now he can. Asa will probably walk pass his dead body and give no shits as she doesn't know who he is, but he'll be happy. The end.
