you did very good on your first translation, everyone else is taking this way too far and saying mean things but for shale to get so mad they type in all caps about someone trying out translating for the first time and tell them to take it down is crazy. i appreciate their translations but they've lost some respect from me as a reader of their work.
keep translating man even if it's not this series you seem to do a good job even with a few misspellings, i've seen others get whole words wrong and even leave speech bubbles empty so you're already doing good.

Look, I get why some people are against gatekeeping when it comes to sniping. And personally, I don't feel that strongly against sniping...when it's got some reasons to be done.
Sure, it's free (pirated), and nobody owes anybody here. But just because you can, is that a reason to act without decency? There's literally no reason at all to snipe this series, and many reason why it shouldn't. And the one doing the sniping honestly did a piss poor job. If it was a series with no other scan, that would be different. But it isn't.
If people want to insist that being hard on those who put out another scan isn't being decent, then how about thinking of the existing scanlators? I used to do scanlation. We aren't fucking robots who unfeelingly do this usually free work for no reason but to please you. Seeing someone take your series and do a poor job of it makes you question why you're wasting your time, even if intellectually you know most people will still prefer your version.
If you want to apply consideration towards those who put in the effort to provide you this scanlation, then before you start praising and encouraging people who do this kind of nonsensical thing, think about the existing people. You're taking them for granted and forgetting them in the face of someone new. Doesn't make sense at all.
