I have mixed feelings about Marchosias being involved with both that and Titania+Nephie, kinda makes it feel like nothing but Zagan's specific involvement is a coincidence.

On another note, it's interesting that Solomon is just now being mentioned. Reading a bunch of Goetic stories, sometimes he's an explicit plot point from the start and sometimes they keep him in reserve like this, and that's fun to experience.

I think "few months ago" is a misspeak by the writer? Apparently both Marchosias and Orobas both had to sacrifice themselves in that battle, and so started the events of the manga. I think it's been longer than a few months since the story started?

So it looks like Marchosias had tried to take Nephy into protective custody, and that could've horribly fallen apart because he died.

Finally, we get to see Marchosias. I knew this guy wasn't just gonna be some random dead dude.

My only concern is that even if the split becomes more balanced, I really hope they don't go away from the idea that most mages are fucking assholes and selfish, who would turn evil if it suited them though otherwise benign, if not out-and-out evil. Remember that human sacrifice seems to be very common as an idea for mages per the early chapters, from the mouths of the mages themselves.

The incident involving the demons, where half of the Archangels died, happened months ago (in February), but it's been years since the last time Orobas and Marchosias met.

No, Zagan killed Andras (Barbatos' teacher and ancestor) when he was 8 years old, and then he was given Marchosias' Sigil when he was 18 (around May in the story).
