The thing poor Foll doesn't get about her youth is that it, as a result, means she lacks power--yes--but what she has instead is potential. Of course, that goes hand in hand with understanding how much distress (if not outright misery) comes with adulthood, which kids are also largely unaware of.
She means well, but it's a sad conflict between her wants born of love and the reality she lives.
