I mean, we can try, but without the direct connection to the main site, most people won’t bother coming to the forum. The traffic will die… and that’s what they want, all the traffic on the main site.

Will they still create a thread for each new chapter? If not, then RIP forum discussion (well, there’ll be shitposting at least, I guess)

I'm not so sure. There will be the chapter/title comments (which very well may take the place of a lot of the chapter/title comments on the forum side) and the feed (which is most akin to the profile posts), but there doesn't appear to be a direct corollary to the other sections of the forums, so I would expect there to still be some traffic here for scanlators, bug reports, and the usual shitposting.

Goal is to have chapter and title comments integrated onto the main site, similar in some respects to the 'feed' feature that's slowly being rolled out there now. Exactly how this integrates/competes with the existing separate system using the current forums has yet to be seen (at least by the non-devs).

Honestly, I want to only use the comments feature to link the forum comments to there, but that'll probably get me banned and I really don't want to get banned for a 3rd time before my first forum birthday.
Plus, it'll look pretty annoying to the outsiders. I don't want to like those people who make mods to remove certain features of games that they'll never use cough cough

I'm going with the wait and see approach, but I don't really have high hopes for it. I just miss the V3 interface, why couldn't they go with that..
