It's perfectly normal for two besties who are both guys to go on a christmas hangout and even practice things to do with a girlfriend with one another. It's all just a practice run. There's absolutely nothing heroiney about that so the game should let up on the not so invisible walls so the best friend character can help the main character prepare for the real thing.

The game should even help them have sex together, so that the protagonist can learn how to please their partner, and later allow them to marry so that the protagonist can learn the wonders of marriage, and also allow them to adopt a kid so that the protagonist can learn how to be a fathers, and also allow them to have sex every night, so that the protagonist can know how good marital sex is

I know it's just inconsistency, but still.

The game agrees, linking arms isn't as lewd as hand holding or feeding eachother

Hareta is so adorkable, I've always liked him but he's been extra endearing lately. At the same time his determination remains as impressive as ever.
