It's great that everyone is completely unconcerned that assassins managed to get into a wedding reception hosting foreign royalty and managed to stab the groom in the back.
Now let's take a broadcasted trip through foreign nations with minimal guards before any information is found about that.
Also nothing says sincere apology like summoning the victim and making a grand show of it instead of going to them so as not to inconvenience them.

I needed to reread the first chapters to set things right in my mind. Sitoen is actually "summoned" back to Tania, which is the country she was born in. Tania has been treating her fairly and in fact punished Luminas by sanctions after the idiot prince of Luminas called off their engagement. So, now the prince of Luminas wants to apologise to Sitoen and the whole kingdom of Tania in front of the king of Tania, in Tania. Sitoen wasn't summoned to Luminas, which was the country where she was greatly insulted. That would have been totally inapproriate. But travelling to Tania is perfectly okay in my opinion, since the prince of Luminas actually will apologise not only to Sitoen but to the whole nation of Tania. Of course you can argue correctly that coming to where Sitoen now lives to apologise would have indeed been less of an inconvenience for Sitoen, but as far as punishing the dimwit prince goes, the way it's now planned is heavier because it will be in front of an important audience.

Or at least that seems to be the public plan. That shady prime minister of Luminas has his own plans.

I mean the shady plan would be to orchestrate another assassination and pin the blame on yet another country.

But I have a feeling prime ministers plan is even dumber and less effective even if they succeed.

Ya this part struck me as odd in particular... I guess the Author needed an excuse to move them to her home country but couldn't think of a good reason that jived with their plot.

Not only that, Sitoen herself suggested not even going with her husband so as not to "inconvenience" him. Which is insane not only on the safety front, but also they're newlyweds, she shouldn't be suggesting "let's spend even more time apart" when they apparently haven't been able to spend any quality time together for the past couple of weeks.

She care about her husband, in this chapter it says that MC is sometime returning late because he has work. Knowing how kind she is, she just wanted to not bother her husband.
