Really loved that the flashbacks revealed that these two were closer than initially thought, and that panel of her having fallen asleep while he worked was bittersweetly beautiful. I have a sinking feeling that this isn't going to stay as cozy and realistic as it started off, if you introduce a successful artist who's his biggest fan and make it so he's always been super talented. Shame, because I was really enjoying that part of it.

That’s the disconnect these authors have with their audience. The dudes in these stories are always stuck in their own head, so they don’t really do anything meaningful which seems pretty soylent to anyone viewing. Most guys really just wanna see themselves in the main characters place, and to have nothing happen is honestly disappointing. The story really isn’t as interesting as it looks anyway so that doesn’t help

I'm guessing the author probably got a bit of inspiration from the 2 big romance mangas that came a few years ago about a mangaka x gyaru and gave his own spin on it.

Definitely feels at the moment like a lesser version of those, not a bad read perse since we barely have any story yet, but I hope this doesn't end up being a "If you want a better mangaka romance just read Kakunaru Ue wa" situation like a few copycats ended up being.

Jesus didn't tell the "sinful woman" who anointed his feet that she was wrong for being a prostitute, nor did anyone else in the story actually identify her as one. Jesus simply told her that he forgave her sins, full stop. We are not told anything about her behavior afterwards. Nor is that woman identified with either Mary Magdalene or Mary of Bethany in the Gospels. The Catholic Church started to conflate all three of them in the late 6th century, but concluded that they were three different women after all in the mid-20th century.

As for "special connections," Jesus clearly thought those were irrelevant once Earthly life ended, since he said the "resurrected saved are like angels and don't get married" thing in response to the Sadducees asking which of multiple marriages should take precedence. And remember that he considered marriage itself to be somewhat immoral; ideally people should be "eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven," but if they can't endure celibacy, marriage is the next best thing. At least in the canonical Gospels, he doesn't seem to think that people should have romantic/sexual/familial relations at all.
