Aye. If there are only five chapters left and now we are talking about separation, would there even be much of a point in having any romance in the remaining chapters? Much of it should be about Comiket, anyway. Of course we could have a confession in the very last chapter, it's not like that wouldn't be a big tradition. That way the author wouldn't really need to think about anything much anymore because there would be nothing after it.
