Did you see my most recent Imasara post? I’m quite proud of it.I summon thee, o Master of the Umamusumes, @Litreara
Rise from your Imasara Hell, so that you may bask in Umamusume heaven with me.
If only for a moment, to enjoy some nice relaxing musumeing data sharing.
Wait, I was joking, did you actually write something there? I usually just write my shitpost comment and leave without looking back.Did you see my most recent Imasara post? I’m quite proud of it.![]()
I think the best way to start is with the anime Uma Musume: Pretty Derby. There are three seasons. Season 1 is good, and season 2 is absolute peak cinema. I haven’t watched season 3 yet.Wait, I was joking, did you actually write something there? I usually just write my shitpost comment and leave without looking back.
Anyway, that's not what I wanted to ask you. I wanted to know if you knew of a way for a Umamusume tourist to know about the world and lore without having to play the game, I know there are some manga, but they seem to rely on you already knowing the game to get the jokes.
Wait there's an anime? I am completely checked out with the anime scene. Got sick of bad incomplete adaptations.I think the best way to start is with the anime Uma Musume: Pretty Derby. There are three seasons. Season 1 is good, and season 2 is absolute peak cinema. I haven’t watched season 3 yet.
There’s also the “prequel” anime Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, which is excellent, but I think it’s better to watch it after Pretty Derby. I say “prequel” because it’s not exactly a prequel, since it doesn’t follow the same timeline; it’s its own story with some of the same characters.

Umamusumians, what is the context of this gag manga?
While I'm at it, I will use this offering to ask for recommendations of Umamusume manga that will allow non-players to know the world without having to play it.
Extra data: all Uma Musume love sweets (and eating in general until they become balloons) by a drink about as dense as real honey (alternative to tapioca in the anime) is Teio's favourite. Mc. Queen has trouble staying on her weight as our catto has mentioned (she overindulges) and it is a recurrent joke in any 4-koma/Umameshi manga. As for our flying Goldship, she's always pulling Mc. Queen's leg and provoking her, so every chance she has to laugh at her she takes it.Umamusumes are usually depicted as gluttons comically because (race)horses eat a ton, like a fuckton
Anywho, McQueen (purple hair) is an ojou-sama who likes sweets too much to the point she gets chubby often (at least in fanworks)
Teio (drinking girl) is McQueen's rival and she likes to drink "Hachimi", localized as "Honeyade". It is literally honey served in a cup.
Teio got her karma for making fun of her rival. More or less
Ah yes, this meta was something that made me creep out when they released the Medium competitive mode. Everyone going with late surgers with the same skills to drain stamina and speed, with Grass Wonder or Nice Nature as obligatory picks. I'm not missing this kind of headache.Aries Cup (CM12) Report — Not great, not terrible… and I kinda fucked up.
This is the team I started the CM with:

Like I said in my previous post, I thought this XOguri was fine… I was wrong. Also, there was an issue with this Grass Wonder that took me way too long to notice (last day of Round 2). That’s the “I kinda fucked up” part.
Round 1 – Day 1
I qualified for Round 2 – Group A, but I noticed my XOguri wasn’t performing well. By the end of Day 1, she was sitting at a 40% win rate, which wasn’t great. Even the Dominators managed 2 wins each.
Things were looking bad enough that I skipped the last 5 races. The overall win rate was 66%, but I knew this XOguri wouldn’t hold up in Round 2, so I went back to the mines… and got lucky. This is the XOguri I took into Round 1 – Day 2:

I wanted more Power, but her skills are definitely better. Having Ignited Spirit SPD for mid-race and Ignited Spirit PWR for the late race is pretty good… when they actually trigger. So yeah, she looks a lot better than the previous one.
Round 1 – Day 2
To be honest, I didn’t see much improvement with the new XOguri. But she felt better, winning races even in a bad mood. She ended the day with a 50% win rate, and the overall win rate for the CM was still at 66%.
Round 2 – Day 1
I qualified for the Group A final. Not much to say, XOguri’s win rate dropped to 45%, but she got the job done. The overall win rate fell to 60%.
Round 2 – Day 2
With qualification for the final already secured, I remembered that I hadn’t put both XOguris in the simulator to see which one was actually faster. To my surprise, the simulator said the older one was faster.
So I decided to put her on the team. Big mistake. She won 2 out of 10 races. For the next 10 races, I switched back to the other one, and she won 7 out of 10. Moral of the story: don’t trust the simulator 100%. The overall win rate for the CM ended up at 57%. Not great, not terrible.
As for how I fucked up, during those last 10 races I paid close attention to skill activations and noticed that while Rudolf was activating Dominator almost every race, Grass Wonder wasn’t. The issue was that I had bought On Your Left! on her, and since it’s also a late-race skill like Dominator, it often triggered instead. So yeah, my win rate probably would’ve been higher if I had noticed this earlier.
I rushed and made a new Grass Wonder without On Your Left!. Unfortunately, she didn’t get Medium S or Late Surger Savvy, which increase the range of some debuff skills, but I think it’s fine. She’s also my second-highest score ever.

A win in this CM would be great since I’m a little short on Carats for the Mr. C.B. SSR Support Card coming on the 30th (those Nishino Flower pulls are coming back to haunt me), but I’ll be happy with second place.
I may not play Umamusume, but you and @Litreara info on the game is giving me flashbacks to Fate Grand Order, and the "totally not mandatory" requirement of a meta finisher attack spammer enabler like Caster Artoria, Vitch, Merlon, Skadi, etc.Ah yes, this meta was something that made me creep out when they released the Medium competitive mode. And especially on this track, XOguri makes things worse because even a mediocre one like mine is still strong enough. I’ve heard that in the future they’ll ban certain debuffer skills on some tracks.Ah yes, this meta was something that made me creep out when they released the Medium competitive mode. You know, my first ever successful completed run was with Haru Urara. That said, I didn’t win the Arima Kinen with her. First, because I’m not that kind of player, like I still don’t have all the trophies. And second, it’s not really a challenge anymore.@Litreara Okay, now I'm going to ask real questions: have you won Arima Kinen with Haru Urara yet?
Is the card not viable at 3LB?It’s sitting at 3 LB, just one copy short
