I understand that, in one instance, she talked about
最強の愛( Saikyou no ai/ ultimate love), and in another, she talked about
本当の愛 ( Hontou no ai/ ultimate love). Let's assume, for the sake of simplicity and normal flow for the story, that both mean the same thing to her, and this was a story execution change( just like the cell phones, in 4 stances earlier). If not, you can come back to charge me about this. Regardless, both intertwine with "fake love" in the same stance: adoration for one thing/person in at least one stance of those relationship type.
Sousuke:
The mains understanding, before starting any conjecture is "who is Sousuke?". Easy, it's the character we've seen so far in the story, loves his daughter, hates adultery, and currently is after his wife. There's no reason to talk about anything else, right? We've know him from a while. But, considering the story so far, instead of "what does Rika want from Sousuke? Why doesn't she let him go?", the opposite is more food for thought. "What CAN Sousuke offer to Rika? Why not someone else?".
When we think about him, we consider the story so far, and believe the vast majority of events were orchestrated by Rika somehow. That is true from the SD card scenario onwards, but what about before it? Do we have proof that she was the one who put Suguru Terauchi to show Sousuke about Momonga? We really don't.
Moreover, the entire piece does not fit. Why is she doing things that would make people, like Misato and Sousuke, hate her, but then chase for love?
But what if...Just if...
Sousuke
wasn't meant to learn about Momonga, or any other business associate of Rika, in the first place? Or at least for now? What this changes is that, Sousuke's Dynamic would remain the same as the start of chapter 1, a person who adores his wife. And the interesting thing is that this ties with the image the shadowy figure and Iwabuchi have of Sousuke. So, i'm assuming that what Rika
WANTS is
THIS image of Sousuke. It's a possibility for her and to us.
The Ultimate/True Love:
If we abide by this logic, than the scenario make
EVEN less sense. OG Sousuke loved his life, daughter and wife. By how he boasted, one could even say that he showed
adoration to them. So, what could Rika take from someone like that that could become more powerfull as "love"?
Quite simple...
worship.
Ultimate adoration. Quite the recurring theme in NTR and cuckholding. For Sousuke to show her unquestionable, undeniable affection. Specifically: this can only happen after the cuck himself is "broken". Manga like
Karami Zakari brings this in better details( the original hentai makes it even worse).
But how can the cuck be "broken"? It's usually by the same method: he see his wife being "taken" by another, "superior man", and powerless, he can only watch. The twist comes into play when the wife addresses that, although she can only feel good with her lover, she can only love her husband/boyfriend( the cuck in question).
Simple enough as well... but how to achieve it with a guy like Sousuke who, as we saw, wanted so much to believe his wife was not guilty, that she was deceived, that he himself was unable to fall into this mindset? There's an extra step, then, otherwise he won't fall. A step to make sure he's in the proper state of mind to follow this "NTR logic".
The extra step...is
to make him cheat first.
The plan:
Basically, if he's forced to cheat against his will( let's say drink too much, or something like what Misato did), OG Sousuke would not be able to live with such guilty, and by how he used to think, would probably end his own life out of shame and disgust...
But if Rika appeared to "save" him, to "forgive" him, and to avert the situation by using Shiho as an emotional anchor( considering the possibility that his pride and beliefs far surpasses his love for her, so she couldn't just count on their relationship alone), she could achieve having him forget about ending his life, pass the rest of his life in atonement, and more importantly, see her no short than a saintess who could forgive such a sinner as himself.
Having that in mind, their relationship becomes one of guilt and forgiveness, not love in it's sheer sense. That's why, after this scenario and his head subsides, he must be shown Rika's "other side", things like Momonga channel, for instance. To see that the beautiful saintess he's so much as learned to worship, could be degraded into such a mess by others...he could only accept that if,
- Rika remind him that he also cheated( there're some people who believe proportionality is less relevant, just the offense is);
- Have him only be aroused by her figure, so it's "not cheating" for him;
- Accept that, as a sinner, he cannot ask for her to not hurt him back for his sin...
- Rika uses the common catchphrase of "as much good as it was, i only love Sousuke-kun".
This breaks him into accepting his defeat and reciprocate as much feelings for her as possible. There's no fear, not even despair coming from him. He accepts he has nowhere else to go, divorce is a distant dream, Rika didn't change except for her business/tastes, and he also wants to give Shiho a decent life for the future. So staying is the way, and his love for Rika is present in all possible forms, as he accepts her for who she is.
The alternative...
Is that she really did force Terauchi to show Sousuke Momonga channel, and the entire story so far has been a way to put him into cheating, subside her deeds( like Momonga) as no more than vocal speculation with no physical proof, succeeding in gaslighting. And if she has proof that he cheated, it becomes easier to trap him.
An important point is that, when we see instances of people( most recently Iwabuchi) saying they're trying to break Sousuke, we always assume they're talking about him seeing Rika, or someone close to him, being degraded so hard that he cannot face reality itself. But there's the chance they're talking about steps before this: they just believe Sousuke is still naively following his old logic of "cheaters must be punished", and are simply trying to see he "cheat", which is for him to break/fall by his own logic.
The Problem:
For every possible scenario involved, Rika must have control over each and every detail. If something faulty, or even unaccounted, happens, things could backfire heavily against her. The scenarios
MUST be controlled.
To trap Sousuke with SD card, to make him despair/miss her by disappearing for 3 weeks, to have specifically Misato( his childhood friend) "break" him with adulterous sex, to taunt him with Iwabuchi and the Orgia party. Everything has been guided from her hands, just like a chess board...or hasn't it?
The threat and Fall:
The most basic threat against every possible route on any scenario is, simply, Akiba Megumi.
- She was on Sousuke's side from, basically, each part of his falling into Rika's world;
- Without noticing, Sousuke started having an emotional affair with her;
- After the spa arc, and during his stay in the motorhome, Sousuke missed Akiba. He thought about her when Satsuki came unto him. Most notably, in chapter 79, how openly flirting they're with each other.
So yeah, there's just one possible outcome to all of Rika's plans: failure. Sousuke has already checked out of their relationship and is currently pursuing closure to the entire story between them. This all happened in a "blind spot"from Rika's view, so much that even using the pregnancy to scare Akiba away did not work.
The NTR/cuckholding is only possible now as a break of formal engagement, emotionally, though? It won't work anymore. Rika won't be loved by Sousuke anymore. And the irony is that she herself is not aware of it as much as we, the readers, are.
