This spinoff takes place after the main story ends so it's filled with spoilers
It's a continuation sequel rather than a spinoff.
The author calls it a spin-off. It supposedly is taking place at the same time as the planned sequel of the main series.
You should have added a warning page at the very beginning, telling people who only follow the Manga to either not read this series or read at their own discretion, as this is technically a Sequel Series to the Main Story, and this contains Spoilers for the Main Story (I personally have no issue as i already read the LN).This week I'll upload chapter 28 and 1 other chapter, bit I still haven't decided yet hehehe
Check the Light Novel instead, it's more clearly seperated there (Wikipedia article has also been updated to include the info)Care to share the source of this sequel to main series thing? Because the WN site calls it "番外編"/bangaiden which is not really 'spinoff'
This series is technically also a Sequel, but from Hannelore and other characters perspective (like the Prologue, Epilogue & PoV chapters from the Light Novel), on events that's going on while Rozemyne is away, doing her thing in the past to save & protect Ferdinand. The author calls it a spin-off. It supposedly is taking place at the same time as the planned sequel of the main series.
The afterword of Part 5 Volume 12 (last of the series) on j-novel, the author says that she has a spin-off and sequel planned and in the Hannelore first volume, she calls it a side volume. It started as a short story chosen by readers.Care to share the source of this sequel to main series thing? Because the WN site calls it "番外編"/bangaiden which is not really 'spinoff'
Yeah when I am reading this series, I only care about the lore, hannelore interaction with rozemyne, and the second bride stealing ditter. What letizia doing are far more engaging to me personallyOh, it begins.
I honestly do not care about Hannelore beyond what was covered in the main series. I especially don't care about her love quest. None of that has stopped me from reading her LNs.
The tone of this series is very different from Myne's journey. This is a romance thing, the kind that feels to me like only girls would enjoy.

The series continued with a sequel titled Ascendance of a Bookworm: Hannelore's Fifth Year at the Royal Academy
Check the Light Novel instead, it's more clearly seperated there (Wikipedia article has also been updated to include the info)
Main Story has 5 Parts (with Part 4 & 5 covering Rozemyne's 1st to 4th year of Academy life), after which is the Hannelore's Spin-off (which is the sequel series) based on 5th year of Academy life.
You'll understand in the later chapters why we call it a spin-off, there is a storyline involving Rozemyne that is missing critical elements that could only come from her POV.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascendance_of_a_Bookworm
I disagree on it being called spin off when there's no main series 5th year to 'spin off' off.

Set a little in the future after the main story's conclusion.
A fifth-year student at the Royal Academy, seen from the perspective of Hannelore, a candidate to become the lord of Dunkelfelger.

Also are you really quoting wikipedia when I quote the author? lol
The source of that assertion even says:
