For some reason, I had subconsciously been getting major Kita vibes from Rico. I don't know why, but it was a moment of realization when I verbalized this to myself.

Anyway; next chapter is the big day, everyone!

I wonder if Mio's lingering doubts will affect how she performs against Chihaya. After all, Chihaya was not thinking of anything when she trained with Ayase and Rico, during which she became a bouncing creature animated purely by her instinctual urge to run. Though, Mio did mention this chapter that meeting Chihaya reminded her of what it feels like to only focus on winning, so I suppose they might be even on this front.

It is a good sign that Chihaya has started to look toward her future. She realized this chapter that she kind of has nothing going on after the race...
