WERE BACK BOYYYYY
Ok, so
Takuto learns what specific version of the tabletop game the other player (let's call him DM) is playing, so he uses that against him. First of all, as avatar of the Nameless God, Takuto has the ability to shapeshift into and completely become any other begin, so he uses that to create a chain of paladin murders, and most importantly locks the DMs clairvoyance ability by morphing into the RPG fire guy and starting an Event Quest Chain (kinda like how the fire guy managed to kill Isla, by locking her in an Event).
At the climax of the arc, everyone is ready to fight Takuto, and at that point he introduces himself, and asks for the DM to do the same, while at the same time threatening him that if he does he'll kill him with an insta-death spell that only requires knowing the target's name. Since the DM refuses to introduce himself, Takuto asks the system for a game pause (imagine you're playing D&D and you ask for a pause to go to the bathroom or discuss some rules), arguing that the specific version of the game the DM is based on REQUIRES players to have good sportsmanship and introduce themselves at the beginning of a game session. Since the DM hasn't introduced himself, Takuto asked the system to pause the game until he does, so all the tabletop game mechanics are locked while Takuto can still use his 4X mechanics (and RPG ones when transforming into the RPG bosses).
Takuto summons his whole army and they begin beating the shit out of everyone, and after a lot of begging from Erakino the DM finally introduces himself, which continues the play session and allows him to use his DM powers to basically revive everyone from his side and kill everyone from Takuto's side (obviously Takuto was bluffing about his insta-death spell). However, at this point, Takuto once again calls towards the game system and starts a motion to dismiss the DM because of power abuse: it's true the DM is omnipotent in the game, but if he's making up bullshit like this guy did no one would like to play their campaigns, so Takuto calls for a vote to dismiss him based on this:
Since the DM can't vote (because he's the one being judged), and Takuto is the only other player present, he wins the vote to dismiss the DM and he loses all his powers, and all his actions get undone (the mind control, the dead paladins reviving, Takuto's army dying). This is pretty much the end of the match, but at this point Takuto gets a bit greedy and asks the system that since the DM position is currently vacant if he could take over, but the system rejects that and he suffers major feedback, forcing him to retreat before he can deal with the two Saints (Erakino died and the DM got dropped from the game).
- Stole a unit from a PC (Atuo)
- Indiscriminate revivals
- Abuse of rolls (always successful clairvoyance and mind control)
- Took far too long to introduce himself
- Unfairly summoning monsters of very high level in lower level zones
- etc.
Just finished this arc of the LN a couple of weeks ago so it's still fresh, but I might have missed some other important stuff. I would recommend reading this arc because I found the whole conclusion to be really, really well written, much better than anything up to this point.
YESSSSS ERAKINO FUCKING DIES! I found her so insufferable, she acts so needlessly cocky, taunting all the time. At least the other two saints act with their people in mind and are focused on doing what's best for their people without anything more beyond that like acting villainously towards others or the like.
I do have to ask, do you remember how Erakino dies? Does she fall into despair? Kind of sucks though that the MC got greedy and wasn't able to finish off the saints as well, but I guess if that happened then the story would be running out of antagonists too quickly.
Also, does the DM getting dropped from the game just mean that he goes back to his reality? Personally prefer if this was a life or death situation for all players. Creates more weight and stakes. Would have also liked to see that DM die for cheating so egregiously like they did.
But she's peak landmine. I don't want her to die. I want her to be corrected.I can't wait until this brat dies.
