but my next question is: what were some of your first games that got you into gaming? what about first anime/manga? if you looked back on your life, was there a point where you would consider in retrospect to be the 'point of no return'? (for instance, for me it probably would've been when i watched OreImo.)

that's a great game to get started with. i used to think 'wow these NES games must be legendary for kicking off the Mario and Zelda series' but then i eventually played them on an emulator and they were downright atrocious compared to games made just a few years later. the SNES was when they got good, i consider A Link to the Past to have a timeless art style and smooth gameplay.
