A clear cut rejection leaving no room for misunderstandings. Openly admitting he’s in love with someone else and that he didn’t want to hurt Lemom. Openly admitting they could easily date but he’d just be bottling up feelings for someone else. This right here ladies and gentlemen is a truly respectful and caring romance MC. The biggest thing is he stood his ground and didn’t let Lemon run away this time. I must say in one chapter my opinion of Sunao has completely flipped for the better.

It could be over .. it could not be. Gotta say though Lemons face and overall demeanor here doesn’t feel like someone who’s defeated. It feels like someone who’s content and did what they set out to do. She put it all out there and she didn’t truly run away this time. It didn’t go the way she wanted and that’s life and she understands that. I could be in the minority but to me? She looks happy.

The song and dance usually goes in a different order, the guy ususally starts dating the girl#2 first, and then starts thinking "Why do I keep thinking of girl#1?".
Here, he's been explicitly thinking about girl#1 for the last couple chapters before he got together with the girl#2, he's also got to clear things with girl#1 before he moved on to girl#2. They both said their pieces, they both got answers to their feelings and resolution to their situation. The card of "Why do I keep thinking" got conclusively played this chapter and is very unlikely to get shuffled back into the deck.
I do truly believe that the author is sticking to Natsumin's ending, and that the ending is gonna happen soon, because everyone's essentially already got their happy resolution: Sunao got over his hostility towards Lemon and restored his relationship with her to that of a cherished friend, and Natsumin is right over the horizon; meanwhile Lemon got Sunao back as a cherished friend if not a lover, and got the opportunity to let it go and move on romantically.

My money is on them getting together after a time skip, probably in the final chapter. Sunao and Kogahara will date and it'll be fine but they'll amicably break up due to one of them moving far away for work or something, and then sunao will bump into adult lemon and allll the feelings come flooding back, he'll realize the reason he was okay with breaking up with kogahara is because he's loved lemon all along, and that'll be it

I know the current development is what a lot of people hope for because theres a faction of readers who think like "the main heroine has been too indecisive, or wronged the man in some way, she doesn't deserve to win" but I'm always the one rooting for the main couple to get together, they're the ones with the most history and character development and time given to them, so naturally their love story feels the most satisfying. In this story kogahara seems just like a nice person who you would obviously like to date if you're sunao, but what else is there about her? She's very generic to me so I have no reason to root for her in the narrative. Lemon, putting the bodyswap stuff aside, has a much more interesting backstory with the lie and being his ex and everything, so if she gets with sunao the relationship feels more substantial

In Brazil, the MC is what we call a fool. In chapter 1, he was traumatized by his ex; in the second episode, he was treating her as if she had never hurt or traumatized him... After Lemon pretended nothing had happened in the past, he had to uncover the reasons why she lied. And now she's in love, but mature? Even though she didn't even regret hurting him in the past. Lemon has to suffer the consequences of actions.

Y'all are being so cynical about this. I felt like with his epiphany of finally understanding his feelings about lemon, it's genuinely being set up as closure and paving the way for a kogahara romance.

This was honestly a refreshing no-bullshit healthy confession and rejection. Today I choose hope, and put faith in the author to not do useless annoying drama again.

And she is; she was with the guy she loves, and now she isn't anymore and can't be*, because the fallout from her actions eventually led him to someone else.

*I still think a throuple resolution is the best resolution

Finally. Justice. She had her chance and blew it. Left him like nothing, Gave the boy trauma. Although misunderstandings were sorted, doesn’t change the fact that she broke him in high school. Kohara stayed true to him. Best girl finally wins.

Damn, expected this but this is super clear-cut. I also thought he might've been like "I love you but I'm not sure about this" to keep it dragging on, but this was super mature and respectful. So refreshing.

This is surprisingly well done, i'm impressed, i think we could end it here, maybe 2-3 chapter more to round it up as 100 chapters manga + a few chapter as epilouge. Tho i had to admit, i might get flamed for this, this is good and all, but if a have to get selfish once in a while, as team lemon i still prefer her to end up with sunao. Since it seems like ending soon, this is mostly unlikely and they would stick to kogahara as the end game. Which is such a shame too since lemon is much more interesting character than kogahara, but i guess kogahara would make better choice stroywise even tho i don't really like the character, so i guess i couldn't really complained since good storyline is better than having an incoherent story and forced plot point. But if there's a possibillity, by some miracle, that they do ended up together, that would be really nice, even though i still think it's extremely unlikely.
