nope, not just you. I also think that there have been pacing issues since the start of the manga. Perfect intro first few chapters -> completely different feel whiplash until mid 20s -> harem setup speedrun -> manga stuff -> love stuff -> back to serious mangakaing -> woops just kidding, slowburn now

I like the manga and contents tho. MC getting up and leaving was a nice change and had more impact. Usually the guys will watch the play, bite their tongues and be supportive if the wingman gives up role to MC trope doesn't happen.
