Yeah, it is on the more art side of mangas.
Still no excuse for JoJoLion, though.
If you think about it, Araki really have a quite thought to have Jojolion in the making, there might be a quite reason he made the plotwise like that, because he took a lot of reference.
I think it's like One Piece to me. The time investment to catch up is intimidating.
One Piece is nearing the end and it is still as good as the old. We can talk about it for hours.

So Jojolion and Steel Ball are the fan favs? Do they require me to watch previous arcs to know what's going on?

Or can I just skip to them?

I think Steel Ball Run took in another universes, you can just start from there if you dont like Part 3 till Stone Ocean, but you will misses a good reading material here and there (potential meme). Though if you watch the anime it is enough.

Steel Ball Run stand system is different fom previous part but still has the same structure.

What's the tiddy lore behind that emoji's hate?
other than its general ugliness, probably @yogurtman's overusage of it

Netflix trying not to ruin popular franchise challenge level Impossible. Deciding to release a batch is regarded one of the bad moves they could make.
though i'm glad they've switched to a weekly release schedule for Steel Ball Run, i'm still not really wowed by the quality (of the first ep at least). idk if JoJo animation was always so rigid or if i just remember it being smoother

Do they have plot or are they like arc 2?

Arc 2 bored the hell out of me with it's soulless fights just for the sake of having pretty fights. I need purpose with my fights, not just cool action.

Arc 2 is why I quit Jojo.

How do you usually read things on a manga?
Just read it honestly, youd be suprise how many Masochist around the world by refusing to stop reading what they started even if it is really bad.

One of the reason I still read Yuri mango.

I have recently started dropping stuff if it truly does not catch my interest, instead of wasting my time with "sunk cost fallacy".

One too many novel ad endings broke my patience.

One piece has been "on the verge of ending in 5 years" for like 10 years or so lmao I dunno man. It'd have to take some insane rushing because Oda has dragged the most stupid shit out while neglecting the important shit. Also Post-TS One Piece has been nosediving, (Wano was the worst) came back at GV, then GV became ass and it's kinda a snoozefest because of the damn flashback pacing and usopp is still a bum. Oh also pre-ts had problems but they got worse in post ts and overall pre ts is still great

They all have overarching plots but in some parts it's weaker.
Part 3 (Stardust Crusaders) is very shounen enemy-of-the week style
Part 4 (Diamond is Unbreakable) feels more slice-of-life/comedy (which is why it's my favorite) while having action and mystery
Part 5 (Golden Wind) is also shounen-y, I liked the characterization
Part 6 (Stone Ocean) has a clearer running story and girls
Part 7 (Steel Ball Run) is the fan-favorite and has a strong story.
Part 8 (Jojolion) is focused on the characters and mystery
Part 9 (Jojolands) at this point I realized I dislike the action genre and dropped it lol
