Don’t do this, y’all. Overstraining your muscles can very easily lead to serious injuries, and then all the hard work you put into getting stronger is wasted as you have to recover.
If something feels too difficult, don’t be afraid to change something up. Lower your resistance, the number of reps, or just stop entirely if you have to.
Also, bit of a nitpick, but never, never lock your knees on a leg press machine like that. If your legs give out or something otherwise goes wrong, and you come crashing back down, your knees will be obliterated.
Whereas if you keep your legs slightly bent, they’ll just bend all the way and your knees will be completely fine
